Your Day:
Depart 8.00 am – Return 6:00 pm from your Te Anau accommodation. This tour is one hour longer than our Milford Day Tour.
A fun commentary with plenty of local knowledge included.
Travel the spectacular Milford Road – with up to 15 scenic photo stops along the way.
A chance to see Keas, Seals, Dolphins and the Fiordland Crested Penguin.
A nature cruise on Milford Sound on a boat with the maximum capacity of 75

Embark on this all-inclusive day trip to the breathtaking Milford Sound starting from Te Anau. You’ll journey down the stunning Milford Road, accompanied by engaging anecdotes and enriched by a wealth of local knowledge. It presents an opportunity to spot keas, seals, dolphins, and Fiordland crested penguin.

Indulge in a delightful morning tea featuring delicious date scones, tea, coffee, hot chocolate along with biscuits, and chocolates. Also a wonderful 20-minute stroll to the Chasm is part of the experience.

You are offered the stunning 30-minute trek to Milford Sound. The highlight is the Marian Cascade - a perpetual waterfall running off a glacial lake. To cap off your day, you’ll enjoy a two-hour sail on the renowned Milford Sound.

You may come to our address at 7:40 am on the morning of your tour. We are at 210 Milford Road, Te Anau. You will see a sign for Birchwood Cottages and then the NZ flag and a sign on the fence for “Fiordland tours/Milford Sound”. Come down the long drive and park on the grass on your left.

Awesome experience - Would highly recommend this tour. Was a lovely 15 pax van which was much more personal then a big bus. Steven our driver and guide was so friendly and personal. He introduced everyone to each other at the beginning of the tour and it felt like one big family travelling together. He was very informative and interesting with personal stories and very knowledgeable about the area. We really enjoyed our tour with Steven and the sights are incredibly beautiful. Saw dolphins and seals on the boat which was a bonus to the beautiful landscape.

Fabulous day out - The coach trip from Te Anau with Stephen was excellent - he was friendly, knowledgeable and full of interesting anecdotes about the area. He was a big part of making the day so memorable. The scenery was breathtaking, both on the drive to and at Milford. The commentary on the boat was hard to hear, unfortunately, but we did stop to see a crested penguin, seals & one of the waterfalls up close. We were a little concerned about coming in the winter but the lack of crowds and the light at this time of year made it spectacular. We would highly recommend this trip.

Milford Sound Day Tour - We had a fantastic trip with Tanya. She was so warm, welcoming and friendly when we first arrived yesterday morning. She was so knowledgable about all the areas we visited, and gave us plenty of time to explore and take pictures. She made us feel safe at all times with the Winter driving conditions. We would highly recommend this tour.

Best decision we made! - Our family had a great day with Jonathan. His knowledge of the local area, history & Māori stories were just as good as the cruise in Milford. It is a long and treacherous drive in winter- and the decision to take a tour rather than drive ourselves was well worth it. We would never have pulled over where Jonathon did and would have missed all the amazing photos, and multiple Keas without his expertise! He (and all the other passengers) were amazing with our 5yo who said “the tour captain” was the best thing about the day- even better than the boat! All the stops were well thought out, the scones were the envy of everyone else during the cruise around Milford. Leaving from Te Anu meant an earlier cruise that misses the large bus groups so plenty of seats and room to see in & out as the dolphins & seals popped up beside the boat. Highly Recommend!! - We are so glad that we found this company! We had looked at a lot of other companies (which also looked good), but this one felt like a step above the rest. Our guide Tania (apologies if I am misspelling your name) was an all-time great and someone my wife and I will be talking about for a long time. She was incredibly knowledgeable, full of interesting stories, a great conversationalist, and a very safe driver (not to be overlooked in winter conditions). Going from Te Anau (rather than Queenstown) meant you could stop at more spots throughout the day and therefore see a lot more. Tania even made time for an afternoon coffee/tea break that she set up at a beautiful lookout site. The provided lunches were also good and hefty. On the boat ride on Milford Sound, we saw lots of dolphins and our boat captain, Brad, was also quite knowledgeable and friendly. We had an amazing time and we can’t recommend this tour enough! Thank you for everything!

Milford Sound Tour - What a fantastic trip! Our guide Tania was personable and super knowledgeable about the area, wildlife and all the good places to stop along the way! Had we driven ourselves in we would have missed some spectacular sites! Home made date scones and a hot drink for morning tea while admiring the surroundings was epic. Great day for a boat ride, stunning waterfalls and a great friendly crew on the boat. Highly recommend even if you are from our little piece of paradise.

Magic Day - Milford Sound plus so much more.. - What an amazing day! Many thanks to our wonderful guide Tania for her friendly, informative and engaging manner & excellent driving and cooking skills. Milford Sound and Fiordland National Park is next level stunning & we feel so grateful to have experienced all that it offers - the dolphins were a highlight, the Kias were entertaining(!), the scenery, streams & waterfalls so beautiful, and the date scones were a hit! It was a perfect day in a most beautiful part of the world. Thank you.

Wonderful Day in the Fiordlands NP - We had a wonderful day on this small group tour from Te Anau. We loved being on this tour as it felt more personal which meant lots more stops along the way. Our driver/guide Tahnia was amazing. She told us lots of interesting information about the history and wildlife of the national park as well as some very funny true stories. She was just brilliant Our cruise to Milford Sound was amazing as we got very close to numerous waterfalls and saw beautiful scenery and wildlife. On the way back to Te Anau we did a few more nature walks to beautiful waterfalls and got to meet some very cheeky Kea. Then we stopped to enjoy a scrumptious afternoon tea. Thank you for a very enjoyable day. We highly recommend this day tour.

Fabulous day to Milford Sound - From the very beginning this company was very accomodating of our needs. Our tour Guide (Tania) was exceptional and kept the commentary going as we ventured into Milford Sound. To top it off we had homemade scones for afternoon tea. A fantastic day out in a small group tour.
