We had an hour to explore the charming village, with its colorful buildings and inviting cafes. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, a chance to immerse ourselves in the local culture.

A Journey Through History and Nature

The cruise continued to Ithaca, where the Afales beach awaited us with its mesmerizing turquoise waters. Swimming here was a surreal experience, the kind that stays with you long after you’ve left the shores. The tranquility of the place was a stark contrast to the bustling life back home.

One of the highlights of the trip was the visit to Σπηλιά Παπανικολή, a cave steeped in history. Captain Kostas shared tales of how a submarine once hid here during World War II, adding a sense of mystery and intrigue to the already captivating landscape.

Our final stop was Skorpios Island, famously associated with Aristotle Onassis and Jackie Kennedy. We were fortunate enough to swim at Jackie Kennedy beach, a rare privilege that added a touch of glamour to our adventure.
