The day starts with a gathering at a shop in central Nyaung Shwe at 7:45 am. After introductions, participants will have a bike fitting, receive a safety briefing, and hear the beginning of the Inle story from the guide; then the biking adventure begins.

As the group rides through town, they will enjoy a warm-up on a road often filled with children biking to school. Water buffalo may be seen, chewing leisurely as the group passes by. Soon, the journey leaves the paved road for narrower trails through bamboo forests and along fields brimming with crops and flowers. In these villages, activities like molasses production, rice milling, planting, and harvesting are common, and children will likely be out to cheer the riders on. Special stops will be made to capture highlights and take memorable photos.

The route briefly transitions to wider roads before reaching the small town of Khaung Daing. Here, participants will explore medieval bread kilns, tofu production, rice wine distilling, rice cracker drying, and possibly see bright red chilies being prepared for market. There will be opportunities to taste some of these local specialties.

After exploring Khaung Daing and enjoying delicious local snacks, the group will board a long-tail boat, along with their bikes, for a water journey. This trip navigates through the unique floating gardens of Inle Lake, where seasonal vegetables and greens grow atop the water. The boat will then head towards a secret destination on an isolated peninsula.

Upon arrival at this special location, the group will resume biking along a seldom-used rural route on dirt trails, beside water channels and rice paddies, venturing into remote communities rarely visited by tourists. Any mud encountered will only add to the excitement!

The adventure through this stunning countryside leads to another section of the lake, where the long-tail boat will be ready to take the group back on the water. They will arrive in a quieter area of the lake among a small stilt community, where they can relax and enjoy a fantastic, truly ‘home-cooked’ Shan lunch in a traditional house.

After a brief rest to let lunch settle and enjoy the scenic views across the lake, participants will take to the kayaks for a leisurely paddle through villages, floating tomato gardens, and across a stretch of open lake. The long-tail boat will accompany them, offering complete freedom to decide how far the adventure goes.

Following the kayaking, the group will return by boat, crossing the lake back to Nyaung Shwe. The return cruise is a perfect opportunity to capture last-minute photos of the lake and surrounding hills in the late-afternoon light. Upon arrival in town, a short ride will conclude the trip back at the shop.
