Beyond Expectations - If I could rate 10 stars, I would! This private tour was more than I expected. My husband had arranged this tour, and he could not believe how easy it was. We chose the starlit Chichen Itza tour. I have done a tour of Chichen Itza with a Cenote tour in the past, and it was a giant bus of probably 60-80 people during the day. It was crowded, hot, and not all that enjoyable. This night tour was the complete opposite! We were picked up by our guide. Axel and driver, Marvin. Marvin was a complete gentleman, opening the door for me and handing me the seatbelt. It was such a nice gesture, and I felt like a queen. Instantly, in the car, we felt like friends. On our drive, we chatted about everything! My husband was still getting over a cough from way before our trip, and Axel made a stop on our way to get a healing honey mixture from a local stand that also happened to sell the most delicious treats. I'm not sure where this was, but if you take this tour, mention it to Axel to take you there!!! We visited a cenote. We were the only ones there. We spent about 45 minutes in complete heaven. So peaceful and beautiful. Once getting in the car there was a basket of fruit, snacks, water and beer!! From there, we toured the city of Vallidolid. What a beautiful city. We walked all around, experiencing the architecture, the people, the local artisans, and vendors. We visited a park and ate a traditional marquesita. You must eat one on your visit! We went to another market where we sampled all kinds of different candies, cheese, etc. Never once did you feel pressured into buying a thing. All the vendors were very generous at giving samples and showing their offerings but never made you feel uncomfortable in the least. We had a late lunch at the most exquisite restaurant called Ellaganzza. We sat on the back patio and had a traditional family dinner. Being that I was vegetarian, they prepared my own dish of empanadas. The food was beyond delicious!! Afterward, we decided to move on to the town of Piste just outside of Chichen Itza. We visited a park and ate a traditional marquesita. You must try one! We still had some time before the night show so Axel asked us if we wanted to go for a drink or if there was anything we'd like to do or see and we opted to grab a coffee. Of course, Axel knew the perfect place for us- Luna Cafe. What a gem this cafe was. It's an eclectic space with some cool art and an amazing playlist! The service was on point, and the coffees were so smooth. We got an opportunity to speak with the staff, and again, we felt like friends. On to Chichen Itza. What a way to experience the immenseness of a time and place in history. It should not be missed. Of course, Axel had explained the history and significance and even had videos and photos to show us explaining further details. And here is the best part of the tour: Marvin and Axel set up a birthday surprise for my husband! They filled the car with balloons, cupcakes with candles and a gift for him! This was beyond thoughtful and completely unexpected. My husband actually teared up. Axel and Marvin, you really know how to treat people. Your kindness and generosity have not gone unnoticed. Both of you made us feel so special, and we are honoured to have been able to spend the day with you. You will never get treatment like this on any other tour, so do yourself a favour and book with Jaguar Journeys.

Go with the pros - Had such an amazing day with these guys. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and spending the day how we wanted. Had an incredible cenotes all to ourselves which for me and my partner really changes the experience! And what a beautiful and hidden gem it was! Delicious food for lunch, stopping when and where we wanted if we needed anything. Organising a guide for us at chichen itza and even providing bug spay! Everyone involved with us spoke very good English which was a big help considering we dont speak any Spanish. Overall we highly recommend Jaguar Journeys to anyone who wants a more personal, peaceful and completely hassle free experience to properly enjoy these magical places like we did!

Great family experience - To start, communication was clear and to the point. We scheduled a night tour but weather did not permit, so easy change of plans to start tour early. Axel and Raymond were great hosts. Tour was informative and never rushed. Flexible if we needed. An experience we will never forget. Not only because of the place but for the kindness of the people who do this job. Highly recommend.

Worthy of 6 stars! - I’d give 6 stars if I could! You are in excellent hands with Axel (expert guide) and Raymondo (driver). I loved this tour from beginning to end. Pickup was right on time in a nice air conditioned van. Axel took the time to get to know me and what I was hoping for from the tour from the beginning. First stop was a swim in a cenote that we had almost entirely to ourselves. There was one other family there and hearing the kids’ giggles bouncing off the water as we came down the steps made it even more magical somehow. There are nice changing rooms and showers there. You can bring water safe shoes, or get a nice foot massage on the way into the water if you go barefoot. There was time to relax and gaze up at the ceiling and beautiful rock formations. Along the way we picked up snacks from roadside vendors in Mayan villages. Second stop was a market in Valladolid a little bit after the daily bustle was over where we tasted some divine local cheese, fruit and chocolate under no pressure to buy (but you can if you want to). Then a delicious dinner at a restaurant run by a Mayan family, where you can try your hand at making tortillas. And the highlight of course, the evening visit to Chichen Itzá Kukulkan light and sound show with some time to see the ball court, Venus temple and thousand columns illuminated. Axel is a wonderfully knowledgeable certified guide with a passion for Mayan archaeology who will tailor the tour and go into more depth any time you have questions.

Cultural immersion tour - Our tour was wonderful. The team worked with me to answer all my questions prior to arriving in Mexico and created a custom tour based on our requests. We did a tour of Chichen Itza during the day, visited Valladolid, swam in an amazing cenote, returned to Chichen Itza for the night show, and had two authentic Mexican meals. We really felt immersed in the Mayan and Mexican cultures for the day. Our guide (Axel) was phenomenal and our driver (Ray) was wonderful. Axel was extremely knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and great with my family. I cannot recommend this company more. They created an amazing experience that we will all remember forever.

Once in a lifetime! - Charge your cameras Don’t forget your bug spray & towel Get ready to experience authentic Mexico! We did the all inclusive evening/night tour of the Chichen Itza and we wouldn’t change a thing. We aren’t early risers so the 7am and 8am tours weren’t appealing to us. The 12pm pickup was perfect. Private transportation, visit to a beautiful cenote, stops at local towns, dinner and the great light show at the Chichen Itza. I was a little hesitant to book as not many ppl have left reviews, but that is the beauty of this well curated experience. I was also concerned about not experiencing the Chichen Itza during the day, but the night show and crowd is hands down better! Our guide was well versed in Mayan culture and extremely knowledgeable about the area. This experience is great for families, couples, friends, girls trips, etc. I would include more pictures, but I don’t want to ruin the experience for others! Don’t wait, book now as you won’t regret it.

Unforgettable! - We want to say thank you to Axel from Jaguar Journey for an AMAZING experience. He was very considerate, patient, and kind with our group (ages ranging from 11 to 85 yrs old) The vehicle was clean and comfortable. He had snacks, a variety of fruits and drinks in a cooler for all of us. Axel's knowledge and love of the Mayan culture (and, many other cultures) is extensive. He explains everything with great detail and enthusiasm. This is a tour you will not forget! The Chichen Itza night tour with cave adventure was just incredible. The next day we went on a personalized Tulum and swimming with turtles tour. We have already made plans to return and meet up next year to continue with our adventures. Gracias Axel, hasta la próxima!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
