A must see for cave art lovers and anyone interested in the history of mankind. - There were five people in our group, and Benoit was an excellent guide. There were even times when someone wanted to stop and visit a site that was not necessarily on our itinerary. Always keeping in mind the time schedule, Benoit accommodated several of these stops. Benoit knows a lot about the history of the area as well as all of the many sites that one could visit given enough time in Dordogne. He is very knowledgeable about prehistory in this area and was able to answer the many questions we threw at him. Benoit has a good sense of humor and also understands how much information you can take in in one short day. This was one of the highlights of our trip so far.

A once in a lifetime trip to an amazing place. - Excellent guide, Ann, was informative, considerate and amusing. Everything went smoothly. The sequence of visits starting with the museum of prehistory followed by the Rouffinac cave and then lunch was well thought out. It led into our final visit to Lascaux perfectly. The opportunity to see these incredible paintings is a fantastic privilege and this tour ensured we had the best experience possible.

A good visit but .... - Enjoyed Lascaux IV. The tour of the museum was informative. Our tour of an actual cave was cancelled, sadly. Had we known that would happen, we'd might have preferred seeing Lascaux II. La Roque Saint-Christophe was the substitute, and was interesting. But it was disappointing to lose the actual cave experience.

Not like a real cave - We were very disappointed to hear that we did not enter the real cave. The cave is faked and you will notice that along the way when you go through a kind of container from one "cave" to another. The guide was very friendly and spoke his languages well. We were a bit disappointed that it was counterfeit.

Deep disappointment; Disney would have done much better, and you know it's fantasy. This is neither fantasy nor reality. - I had high expectations. I knew it was a replica. It has an incomprehensible entrance, inside it's a Disney system to get in; then inside there are good replicas, I think, and that half hour ends in a shopping mall. I'm more than sure Disney would have made it much more atmospheric and exciting. I've visited other real ones elsewhere, and there's ZERO excitement. Knowing that they were not there, nor did they paint that, seeing something that YouTube or books show was a deep disappointment. I recommend checking which cave you go to, since there are real ones.
