Surrounding the island is the Bunaken Marine Park, which is included in the Bunaken National Park and boasts one of the world’s highest levels of marine biodiversity. The island is a popular destination for scuba diving enthusiasts. The Bunaken Marine Park spans 75,265 hectares and includes five islands: Manado Tua Island (Manarauw), Bunaken Island, Siladen Island, Mantehage Island with its smaller islands, and Naen Island. Despite its vast area, diving spots are restricted to the beaches around these five islands.
