Excellent experience with the Wild Horses. - We enjoyed our visit to Theodore Roosevelt park. The highlight was seeing the Wild Horses in many locations and up close and personal. What a joy to learn about their blight and how they have been saved. In addition we enjoyed seeing the Prairie Dogs and Buffalo.

You definitely need to chase wild horses - It was a wonderful experience. Chris and Gary were so friendly and knowledgeable about wild horses. We found a couple bands of horses to photograph. Theodore Roosevelt National Park was beautiful. There are many fun things to do in Medora when you finish chasing wild horses. Check out their Chasing Horses store for beautiful photos and souvenirs. I can’t wait to go again next year!

Wonderful Experience - While expensive, the Chasing Horses is worth it. My wife and I are very senior citizens and we did not want any long hikes. My take is that if you are a hiker, the tour would be even better. The crew is husband and wife. They are pure wild horse people and work hard advocating to keep the wild horses in Teddy's Park. It is hard to believe but the idiots in the dept of the interior want to eradicate or move all 193 horses. Round them up and sell them. Absolute lunacy. The park itself is gorgous, breathtaking at times. Gary take you around to the backside of the park and almost immediately you'll find a group of horses in the distance. Lots of Bison (don't call them Buffalos) We did come across a group of about 8 wild horses standing alone doing nothing. There was a young one and Chris explained quite clearly that this horse had left another group, joined this one and was not completely accepted as yet. She knows the names of every horse in the park. Later we were walking up a grassy ridge where another group of horses were feeding and a rather surly Bull Bison started gazing at us. He was all alone which is not good. We continued towards the horses no more than 20 paces or so and the Bison raised his head and kept looking at us. Gary told us to stop and we slowly walked away. The damn Bison followed us. He never charged but it clearly did not like us being there. We got back to the truck and Bison kept coming. He walked in front of the truck, looked our way and crossed the road. Now that alone, was worth the price of admission. Great people, a great park with wonderful wildlife.

Knowledgeable horse advocates - We didn’t know what to expect on this tour, Chris and Gary were pleasant and knowledgeable about the park and the wild life. We really like horses and are not photographers at all, no fancy cameras. If you have camera equipment for photography then this would be a nice tour for that. We respected the efforts they have done in the last few years to keep horses in the park! We also appreciated the time they spent taking us around the different areas until we saw some horses!
