Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your lesson. We equip you with a long-sleeved rash/sun shirt (or a wetsuit during the colder months) and provide you with an appropriately sized soft surfboard for beginners. Following that, we proceed to the shoreline where we commence with a briefing on safety and some fundamental surfing techniques. After catching a few initial waves in shallow water, we return to the shore for a more comprehensive lesson on standing up on the board. The remainder of the session is spent in the ocean, with the instructor aiding each participant in successfully standing up on their surfboard.

Turn left into Hastings Street and continue towards the river mouth. When you get to the last shops you still have another 600 meters to go. Continue through the Noosa Woods until you find the Go Ride A Wave trailer at Beach Access No 11.

Soooo much fun! - It’s always been a dream of mine to learn to surf. We had an amazing experience with this company.
Great, supportive and fun instructors. Beautiful location and everyone was standing up quite quickly and we had plenty of opportunities to give surfing a real go. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend. 🙂

Lovely instructors - learnt loads and had fun - Easy booking. Lovely friendly instructors. Clear and helpful instructions that I almost succeeded in adhering to a few times. If we were here longer we would have booked again. Addictive!

Fun, sun and surf at Noosa - My 13 year old did a group lesson at GRAW Noosa. Everything was provided - just remember to zinc up your face! She had heaps of fun with instructor Rizi (?) who put her at ease, was safe and professional. She had surfed before so this time they got to do some next level skills. The beach and water were gorgeous. Looking forward to returning next time!

Surfing lesson - Great experience! You can book directly with them as well. I’d recommend using them for sure. Came with boards wetsuit, and it was nice having a brief refresher

Alina is a great instructor! - Had a fantastic beginner lesson with Alina! It was my first time Surfing and I was able to stand on the board! Would love to do more lessons!

Brilliant 👏 - Brilliant! The instructors explained everything to my 12 yr old and her friend very clearly. Both were able to stand on the boards after their instruction. My daughter didn't want it to end, she loved it!!

Good experience - I enjoy the experience. Cece help us a lot in the water but the Ocean was quiet. I would like to do the 3 days course to improve my lessons.

uncomfortable and extremely painful - In September 2025, I completed this tour with my family and friends. However, I found the experience to be exceptionally uncomfortable due to the heavy boards we were required to carry over a considerable distance on sand. even as an Elite gymnast, I found this task challenging and unfortunately sustained an injury to my forearms due to the size and weight of the boards. Given my smaller stature, I would not recommend this tour to others.
