- Rooi Santo 28 - When you arrive at our school, the first thing you should do is take out your flipflops and everything that is heavy and warm! We will welcome you happily and make sure you fill in the necessary papers, put away your luggage (in lockers) and get ready for the lesson! You will get watershoes and a life jacket if you need it. First, we will give you a short explanation & demonstration on the beach about the wind, the sail, the boom, the mast and your board. Then we will start with small practices. We teach and let you practice at the same time so your sessions will be short to make sure you get all the basics in! You will learn how to hold your sail, how to place your feet and hands, and how to tag. We combine theory with practice, as the wind will let you feel how to manipulate your direction through steering! The second hour of your lesson, you practice by yourself under our supervision. If you need some help, we are there, but you will love that time for yourself to practice all you learnt! When you are finished, you can tell us about your experience while you peace out on the beach! This is a private lesson for 1 or 2 persons max, so that couples can go together.

Aruba Naturals - It was a great experience, we had a lot of fun. Our instructor, Louis, was very patient and professional ensuring we as beginners did not go too far out and showed us how to dismount the boards for less possibility of injury, which came in handy. We had a fabulous time!

Great Experience - We took lessons with Aruba Active Vacations over four days. We didn't come to Aruba planning to spend four days doing one thing but each day we just wanted to sign up for the next. They're a really professional outfit-the office staff, instructors and management. We are very experienced with water sports and I can tell you kite surfing cannot be learned in 2 hours. We all want to jump right on the board and shred but it just doesn't work that way. The first lesson has to be kite control; that is a big challenge by itself. By the end of the first lesson you are in the water. But, this group makes each step fun, even the basic stuff that has to be done on shore (it starts on shore with any kite surfing school). Their facility is comfortable and a nice place to be on the beach while your family member(s) are on the water. We highly recommend Aruba Active Vacations!

Fun in the sun - My 11 and 13 year old enjoyed learning how to windsurf. Their staff was knowledgeable and courteous, we would love to do it again.

Fun 1st Windsurfing Lessons - Rudolph was fantastic! He was so patient and kind . Rudolph made the lesson fun and not intimidating! We laughed at all my wipeouts and cracked a lot of jokes. I would recommend him as an instructor to anyone learning!

Great instructor! Was up on the board I thought pretty quickly.. - Great instructor. Was up on the board fairly quickly. Did not think to ask instructor to video us. Would have been better. Also T-shirt’s or sweatshirts would have been a great souvenir but they did not sell any

Very nice private lesson - Before arriving in Aruba I had reserved a private surfing lesson for my daughter through a very pleasant email contact with Loraine.
It was as friendly on site as the email contact.
My daughter had a nice private lesson after which she could continue practicing alone for an hour. The place is beautiful and the lesson was tailor-made and with a positive approach.

Good - The experience was good. We had one hour windsurfing class and one hour practice on our own. The instructor was having difficulty teaching, he didn't seem to be in a good mood and felt rushed. Overall it was a good experience and will do it again preferably with a more patient instructor.
