Alambi Reserve - Explore this reserve, a garden perfect for observing hummingbirds in the central part of the cloud forest, where you can showcase your skills in capturing birds in motion.

Mashpi Amagas Reserve and Sacha Guaguas Reserve
Reserva Mashpi Amagusa - The Amagusa Mashpi Reserve is one of the world’s premier locations for biodiversity and birding. It is one of the last foothill forests that directly connects to the lower subtropical western forest of Ecuador. Its unique location makes it particularly appealing for birders seeking regions with the highest biodiversity, featuring Choco endemic birds. It’s an excellent place to photograph remarkable species such as the Glistening-green Tanager, Black-chinned Mountain Tanager, Orange-breasted Fruiteater, Choco Vireo, Empress Brilliant, Green Thorntail, Rose-faced Parrot, Spinetails, Chlorophonias, Rufous-throated Tanager, Broad-billed Motmot, and Indigo Flowerpiercer.
Milpe Sanctuary and Sendero Frutitour
Milpe Bird Sanctuary - Birding reaches its peak at the Umbrella Bird Lek in the Choco Lowlands. This significant site is one of the last accessible forest remnants in this vital life-zone, located in hilly lowland forest. In this reserve, mixed species foraging flocks are encountered, filled with many important Chocó regional endemic species. The goal is to observe both male and female Long-wattled Umbrella Birds. In the afternoon, visit Milpe Birding Sanctuary for specialties like Toucans, Hummingbirds, Kites, and Hawks.

Papallacta Pass, Guango Lodge, and Rio Quijos Lodge
Papallacta - Visit the highlands of eastern Ecuador to see high-altitude species such as the Rufous-bellied Seedsnipe, Rainbow-bearded Thornbill, Red-crested Cotinga, and Blue-mantled Thornbill.

Limoncocha National Biological Reserve - Visit this Amazonian location in Ecuador, favored by bird enthusiasts, where unique and endemic birds can be seen. There will be an opportunity to photograph at Limoncocha Lake by boat, capturing exotic species like the Zigzag Heron, Striated Heron, Tiny Hawk, Roadside Hawk, Southern Lapwing, Swallow-tailed Kite, Snail Kite, Squirrel Cuckoo, Yellow-rumped Cacique, Striped Owl, Red-capped Cardinal, Common Potoo, Greater Ani, White-eared Jacamar, Limpkin, Cocoi Heron, Purple Gallinule, Cobalt-winged Parakeet, Plain-brown Woodcreeper, Wattled Jacana, Gilded Barbet, Scarlet Macaw, White-throated Toucan, and others. In the late afternoon, visit the Scarlet Ibis and Cattle Egret overnight grounds. Return to Limoncocha.
