- Tunsbergdalsbreen - A SPECTACULAR, DIVERSE DAY, FULL OF WHOLE-BODY ACTIVITIES!
Tours on Tunsbergdalsvatnet (lake) commence around June 11 and continue until Styggevatnet is ready for kayaking, typically by July 11. This lake is nestled 1,000 meters below forested mountains, which encircle both the lake and glacier, offering some of the most breathtaking kayaking experiences in Norway!
After kayaking to the lake’s end, the journey continues on foot along the Glacier River, which winds through a narrow, stunning gorge. This path leads to Tunsbergdalsbreen (glacier), the longest valley glacier in Norway.
Lunch is enjoyed in this completely secluded area before exploring the glacier, walking through crevasses and around meltwater holes, before finally heading back.
This tour offers the most variety and solitude imaginable in just one day, an experience that will leave a lasting impression on both your arms and legs!
The meeting point for this tour is the Breheimsenter. Participants follow the Icetroll vehicle to the lake, and there is an 80kr toll on the way, payable in cash only.
