• Valahnukamol - Looking at the statue, you might think: Wait, that’s a penguin! While these stout, flightless birds resemble penguins, they are a completely different species!

• Brimketill lava rock pool - ‘Brimketill’ means “whitewater cauldron.” Legend says this cauldron belonged to a giant troll named Oddný! Oddný and her husband Hróar lived in a nearby cave. At night, Oddný would come to her cauldron to cook and wash clothes. Sounds quite serene!

• Fagradalsfjall Volcano Eruptions: 2023, 2022, 2021 - The 1,200-foot Fagradalsfjall is a true trendsetter: Its 2021 eruption began the recent volcanic activity known as the New Reykjanes Fires.
