DAY 1: HA NOI - CAT BA ISLAND – LAN HA BAY (overnight on cruise)

Ninh Binh - 07:30: Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter to travel via highway to Beo Harbour in Cat Ba Town, Haiphong, arriving around 11:30. (A short break will be taken en route.)

Cat Ba - 11:45: Transfer to the Venezia Cruises by tender.

12:15: Guests are welcomed onboard the cruise, check in, enjoy a Welcome Drink, and receive a cruise briefing and safety instructions from the crew and Cruise Manager.

Lan Ha Bay - 12:30: Lunch is served as the journey continues through the islets. The stunning limestone karst formations rise impressively from the sea. This area remains pristine, as few cruise ships take the route via Cat Ba Island – Coc Ngoi islet – through Cua Dong to Ba Trai Dao area.

14:30: The cruise sails through Lan Ha Bay, surrounded by extraordinary limestone karst landscapes. Guests can visit Dark & Bright Cave and islets by kayaking, experiencing the wild and mysterious beauty of this World Heritage site, and enjoy swimming in the bay’s crystal-clear waters.

Lan Ha Bay - 15:20: Enjoy a swim, a wonderful experience in the bay’s clear waters.

17:45: Return to the Venezia Cruises boat to watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Guests can join a traditional cooking class where the chef will demonstrate how to make some Vietnamese dishes. In the early evening, the boat offers a Happy Hour deal.

19:00: Dinner is served, featuring delicious local cuisine prepared by the onboard catering staff. Enjoy a delightful meal in an intimate, romantic setting.

21:00: Enjoy the bay’s nighttime landscape from the top deck. Relax with drinks from the bar, try night squid fishing, and enjoy karaoke with friends and family. Overnight on Venezia Cruises.

23:00: End of Day One program.

DAY 2: VIET HAI VILLAGE - LAN HA BAY - NINH BINH (Bungalow sleeping)

Viet Hai Village - 06:00: Start the day with a cup of coffee, take photos, or enjoy the sunrise from the cabin window. Enjoy a light breakfast amidst the bay’s serene beauty.

08:00: Transfer by tender to visit Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island and take a bicycle ride (electric car also available) through a rainforest tunnel leading to a village nestled in a valley within a national park. Meet locals, visit a traditional house, and see their homes and the village school.

Lan Ha Bay - Return to the Venezia Cruises boat for check-out procedures.

10:45: Enjoy a delightful lunch while cruising back.

11:45: Disembark at the quay side in the south of the bay.

12:00: Farewell at the port, marking the end of the program. We hope guests enjoyed their time and wish them a safe onward journey.

Tam Coc - 12:30: Bus departs for Ninh Binh.

15:30: Short break.

16:30: Arrive in the Tam Coc area. Drop off at the homestay, check in, and enjoy free time for dinner.

HOA LU - TRANG AN - MUA CAVE - BICH DONG PAGODA (Small group guided tour)

Bich Dong Pagoda - 8:30: The tour guide and van will pick guests up at their homestay to visit Bich Dong Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Ninh Binh.

Mua Caves - 10:00: Continue to Mua Cave (Mua means Dance), with 500 steps leading to the top of Mua Mountain. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of Hoa Lu.

Hoa Lu temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - 11:00: Visit Hoa Lu, the ancient royal capital of Vietnam. Explore the Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple, learning about the heroic histories of these two kings during the Chinese Wars.

12:30: Enjoy lunch at a restaurant featuring great local cuisine.

Trang An Landscape Complex - 13:30: Depart to visit Trang An Eco-Tourism attraction, known for its beautiful scenery. Board a small boat to explore Trang An, witnessing majestic limestone cliffs, mysterious caves, and countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies, and green fields. Take a boat trip to visit the cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou, and enjoy the scenery of mountains and rivers, reminiscent of Ha Long on land in Ninh Binh.

16:30: Return to the van and head back to the homestay.

17:15: Arrive and drop off at the homestay. Trip ends.
