- Hoa Lu temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - In the late 10th century, Hoa Lu served as the capital and the economic, political, and cultural hub of Dai Co Viet, an independent Vietnamese nation established in 968 A.D. by the local warlord Dinh Bo Linh and later by the early Le dynasty founded by Le Dai Hanh. After the fall of the Le dynasty, in 1010, Ly Thai To, the founder of the Ly Dynasty, moved the capital to Thang Long (now Hanoi), making Hoa Lu the ancient capital.

Shirley - Wendy was amazing and very knowledgable. My only problem with this tour is the boat trip at an hour and a half is a bit long but all in all great tour and would definately recommend.
