A beautiful day in Nikko, Japan - We had a day trip to Nikko from Tokyo with Hassan from Nippon Voyage Tours. It was amazing. Thanks to our driver/guide Hassan we were able to see the best of the beautiful historic town of Nikko: its unique shrines, gardens, enjoy the beauty of the nature and learn about the important period of Japanese history. Hassan was very punctual and helpful , carefully planning our schedule, so we could do maximum sightseeing activities within one day. His driving was very safe and he also pointed out a choice of great places to have a meal. We highly recommend this itinerary with Nippon Voyage Tours and with our great guide Hassan.

Breathtaking waterfalls and scenery in Nikko! - The day trip to Nikko took us to some really amazing spots! The waterfalls were breathtaking. Our journey from Tokyo was about 2 1/2 hours and our driver, Ali was kind enough to let us stop halfway at a huge rest area where we were able to get Starbucks (no idea why but it was even tastier than in the U.S.). There is a lot of walking on the tour, some of which is over very rocky terrain and lots of steps of various heights so plan accordingly with proper shoes and attire. Most of it paid off with magnificent views and picture opportunities.

Nikko trip with families - Wonderful experience in visiting Nikko. Great weather, amazing views. Shrines give great vantage point of Japan’s history. Our guide Mukkaram was very helpful and assisted us in navigating sites efficiently and was very knowledgeable about the local area. Would recommend and don’t forget a light jacket or sweater.

Chasing Serenity in Nikko - This trip through the Tochigi prefecture of Japan (Nikko is in the Tochigi prefecture of Japan) was an amazing experience for my family and me. Our driver drove us to many scenic and historical monuments, such as Tokugawa Ieyasu's burial place, the picturesque Kegon waterfalls, and even a 400-year-old bridge that stands even today! We also visited a few Shinto shrines along the way, which all had omamori (Japanese amulets, usually for good luck, academic achievement, and much more!). The driver also knows a lot of good places to eat food, so you will definitely not get too hungry when visiting all these places! The most notable shrine we explored during our trip was the Nikko Toshogu Shrine, a shrine situated in a lush forest that hosts Tokugawa Ieyasu's final resting place, thousands of Japanese cedar trees, an abundance of Torii gates, and an interactive museum. This UNESCO World Heritage Site truly lives up to its name. The Kegon waterfalls are some waterfalls (consisting of one main waterfall and many small others) that are perfect for taking videos and pictures of. These waterfalls are near Lake Chūzenji, another destination that was covered in this trip. The lush greenery around the waterfalls gives the effect of a lush cliffside, making it an exotic destination addressed by this tour. The 400-year-old bridge is named Shinkyo Bridge, which provides a passageway across the Daiya River. This bright red bridge is absolutely gorgeous when it rains. Overall, this tour of the Tochigi prefecture hits all the beautiful hidden gems in the prefecture and is truly an unforgettable experience.

6 out of 10 - The trip seemed well organized when we booked it; however, it was not as good as we expected. The driver presented himself in an unkind manner and made no effort to engage with us throughout the entire trip, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the only issue. We were involved in a minor car accident. While the incident itself can happen to anyone, the way he handled the situation was concerning. He didn’t even bother to ask if we were okay afterward and made us walk nearly 2 km to the first stop of our trip. To make matters worse, he drove recklessly throughout the day and skipped one of the stops that was clearly listed on the website when we booked
