The castle served as a strategic military fortress until it was demolished by the French army of Louis XIV in 1706.
- Port Lympia - The harbor boasts a rich history dating back to the 18th century.
It was built under the orders of King Charles Emmanuel III of Sardinia and has been vital to the economic and social development of Nice.
The port’s name, “Lympia,” comes from a nearby river that was used to fill the basin.
