Great trip. - Great trip. Marcus our driver/guide was very friendly and full of useful (although sometimes debatably useless lol) information. Incredible to see so many gannets.

Fabulous experience to be repeated - Amazing experience. Jan, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and had lots of interesting bits of information to share about the area and the gannets. She made the trip entertaining. The bus trip had great views and was so much more than just travelling from point A to point B. But the gannets were the star of the show. Fascinating birds and so interesting to watch them fight over seaweed, build their nests and cuddle together - so cute! A trip to be repeated for sure.

Excellent tour! - This trip was just awesome. Marcus was a great guide and the trip was great. We had a good amount of time at the gannets and Marcus made the drive out and back so interesting with his informative and funny commentary. Great value for a fun afternoon.

Excellent experience! - This tour is well worth the money and experience. I did the tour with my kiwi husband, I am Canadian and we were back to visit family and friends. The tour guide Marcus was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humour and his wealth of knowledge about the area and the history of NZ. The colonies were full and there were eggs but no hatchlings. We had lots of time to take photos and stay at the top. We did not feel rushed. Overall a very memorable experience. If you are squeamish about heights and get car sick you may not want to do the trip. Very bumpy roads and some shear drops to the sides as you make the trip up and down.

Gannets and a serve of laughter ! - We loved the tour to see the gannets. Marcus was very informative and funny. Kept us entertained the whole way there. We loved learning about the local area, the Māori pūrakau, and about the gannets too. This is a terrific experience to go on with family of all ages. Highly recommend.

Gannets and more..... - Thoroughly recommended. Our guide Jan was very personable and very knowledgeable, not just about the garnets but also about the history and industry of the land. A great way to spend a morning.

Thanks Tony - A great afternoon. Our tour guide, Tony, was well versed in knowledge of both the area (having lived and worked in it for years) and the gannets. Old and young alike really enjoyed it. Would 100% go again! Hope to see the chicks next time

Up, Close & Personal with the Gannets - Very nice, getting a close view of the Gannets colony. Relaxing, sunny, windy afternoon, sitting on a bench, up close & personal with the gannets. Took lots of video of the birds. Enjoyed the tour. Lots of interesting information from the guide, who is also the driver. Small, cosy group of 7 (only us & another family).
