Avail a unique, private, 4-hour tour granting exclusive access to the Statue of Liberty. Led by your own personal guide, hear the story of how a symbol of friendship offered to the United States evolved into one of the contemporary world’s marvels. After this exhilarating trip to the monument, embark on a brief boat journey to Ellis Island and discover the rich narratives of one of the most famed and busy immigration centers in America. Included in the tour are entrance charges and a round-trip ferry ticket.
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Duration is subject to ferry schedule and time guest wishes to spend on Ellis Island
- Food and drink is available for purchase on the Statue Ferry, Liberty Island, and Ellis Island
- A moderate amount of walking is involved, please wear appropriate shoes
- Operates in various weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Photography is allowed, however monopods or tripods are not allowed
- No weapons of any kind are allowed at the statue (including pocket knives, pepper spray, Swiss Army knives, etc.). There is no place to check these items before going through security, so please leave these items at home
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age.
- Pedestal and Crown Access is not included.

Your guide will be on the steps outside of the north entrance of the Alexander Hamilton Customs House (Museum of the American Indian), holding a white flag with a blue checkered border with our logo. This is the entrance facing the buildings in Manhattan with 4 statues.

Amazing tour, even more incredible tour guide - Cameron! - Seeing the Statue of Liberty was on my 82 year old immigrant mother's bucket list and of course, the Statue itself is amazing. What made it the MOST amazing was our wonderful tour guide Cameron. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful. If my mother and I could have had him as our personal tour for all of the rest of our trip through New York we would have. He was our angel on the tour and we could not praise him more highly.

Patrick was amazing and we had a great experience getting to learn a ton of knowledge about the statue of liberty - Patrick our guide was amazing. We had a fantastic experience getting thru the tour with ease and picked up so much knowledge. Very cool trip!

Perfect Match - Our guide was a perfect match for my son and I. My 23 year old loves Broadway Musicals so having Patrick was amazing. My son has special needs and loves asking questions. Patrick was so patient and very entertaining breaking into show-tunes during our tour. Highly recommend Patrick and Top Dog Tours. We’ll be back next year and will definitely ask for Patrick. Thanks for a great day! BTW, i learned a lot during the tour! Thank you!!

History Came Alive... - Our guide (from Top Dog Tours) was excellent! She had tons of interesting facts about all aspects of the history of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and she was fully engaged in making sure my group had a great time. She interwove personal stories of her family's immigration history with her discussion of the monuments and it made it all so much more meaningful. Despite the cold (and wind) we would definitely go again!

5 starsss- private tour statue of Liberty/ Ellis island - Absolutely amazing - my guide was so knowledgeable and was definitely skilled in all the historical knowledge of not only the monuments we were seeing but also beyond. I was beyond impressed at the amount of knowledge she had and the ability to present it clearly and efficiently. People around us were listening to us all day- bc it was clear she had a grasp on everything around us - more than any other guide around. Always love finding such a great guide - highly recommend - learned so much.

Good but rushed - I’ve done this tour before, and believed the private group setting would be good for my autistic son. Therefore, I recommended it to my family and they thought it would be good. The information and pictures were great but we felt rushed. What was supposed to be a 4-hr tour turned into a 3-hr tour. Definitely take the time to enjoy the museum with the Statue of Liberty and don’t rush over to Ellis Island. There is not much information provided once you get over there. Not worth the money this time around.

Don’t do it! - Worst tour on the planet. We should have gone alone. Do yourself a favor and go self guided. Best part of the Pedestal, tickets we purchased on our own.
