Great Tour! Informative and Fun - Steve, our tour guide, did an outstanding job of explaining the history of Greenwich Village and its culture throughout the years. Steve is a native New Yorker, and we appreciated his personal take which made this tour very interesting and educational. He also has a great sense of humor which made it all the more fun. I am a native NY'er myself, and somewhat familiar with the area, but I learned so much. My friends are from out of state and found this tour fascinating. I was so relieved because I had suggested this tour as I wanted them to have a great experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour if you are visiting NY, and would like to learn about what I believe is one of the most interesting areas of New York. Steve offers other tours including the Meatpacking tour which will be my next choice when I am visiting again.

Enrich your village experience with this tour - This is a wonderful tour, exploring the back streets of the iconic New York Village. Our guide was Steve, a 50+ year Village resident, who shared stories and history of the area. Steve was knowledgeable and articulate, and has a great perspective as someone who lived through such an exciting time in this microcosm of creativity.

Run, don't walk to Steve's Greenwich Village Tour - My husband and I toured Greenwich Village recently and had the absolute pleasure of having Steve as our guide. I have walked the neighborhood dozens of times over the past decades but never before did I have the opportunity to learn so much about the history of the area. From stories about famous musicians, tips on best pizza, pasta and jazz clubs to the history of immigration, politics and gentrification, it was all there. My husband kept saying "I feel like I am back in the 60's!" It was a Master Class in all things Greenwich Village. To have the knowledge of someone who has witnessed the evolution of the neighborhood over the decades first hand was invaluable. His love for his neighborhood is heartwarming. We would follow Steve around any neighborhood in NYC. Run, don't walk to Steve's tour! Nancy & Jack. Toured 8/11/25.

Dave gave us a great tour of The Village - Dave did a great job of taking us around and showing us relevant places along with sharing stories. He even has a binder with photos! He clearly enjoys doing these tours and was also very considerate of people’s needs and desires while he took us around.

Very informational and enjoyable - We had a great time on this walking tour of Greenwich Village. It was really cool that the tour was led by a guy that lived in the Village (Steve). He was very knowledgeable about the area and its history since he's lived there for quite a while (although he looks great for his age). I would highly recommend asking for Steve for this tour if that's available. As South Carolinians visting NYC for the first time, he was very welcoming and passionate about showing off his hometown. Topics covered included pop culture, local food and bar establishments, entertainment like Jazz clubs, saw chess being played in the park, American History such as Thomas Paine and his pamphlet Common Sense, how locals live as well as other information. Definitely worth the time and money to take this tour. - Jeremy
