Amazing tour guide! - Loretta was such an amazing tour guide! She was so accommodating and helpful! We were traveling with my autistic nephew and she made the trip so enjoyable and she was so friendly. She was very helpful with all instructions I always knew what to do. I would recommend this tour to anyone just to book her!

Bad 80’s architecture vomited on by Christmas lights - So … bad 80”s architecture vomited all over by Christmas lights! What’s not to admire in the commitment of these residents! Our tour group was only 10 people and our guide was sweet but did not read the group well and lingered a little too long in some places, with a constant “this would be a good picture” “ let me take your picture” none of us wanted this so she took photos for others not in the group instead 🤣 Still we laughed and got out of manhattan for a bit so was worth it because we we had the time

Needs improvement - Tour guide seemed brand new. Did not know any of the content — inaccurate and reading the entire time. Was less fun than other guides. Directions to meet initially were very unclear. There was no bus. It should say to meet inside the deli because no one was standing outside and there was no bus so almost missed the tour. No bathroom or garbage on bus.

Worst excuse of a tour, don't waste your money!! - Don't waste your money!! Spend the money on an Uber and go to 86th - 84th and 11th - 15th in Dyker Heights instead of this rubbish tour. A quick summary of issues: - no greeting by the guide upon arrival, had to ask strangers if we were in the right place - hot cocoa and holiday cookie were very much an after thought and we almost missed out because they weren't brought out on time. - we left 47 minutes late as the guide tried to push everyone through the bathroom and "we can't leave without everyone going" despite the booking very clearly stating that we cannot leave late. - the bus was incredibly hot. - the guide was telling fun facts along the way, all of which were incorrect. Surely you would do some basic research before spouting out facts. The world trade tower is certainly not the tallest building in the Northern hemisphere! Have you never heard of the Burj Khalifa?! - when we arrived, the guide waffled on for 15 minutes about nothing in particular, holding us all on the bus unnecessarily. - the guide then said we had to pick up another group who weren't even there, causing us to walk an additional 2 blocks for no reason. - the guide had a small flashlight and blue lightsaber that was very difficult to locate in the crowds. We lost the guide numerous times as she practically ran down streets and didn't bother to see if her group was keeping up. - the guide didn't know her left from right and gave the wrong directions to the only bathroom nearby. - despite knowing some of her group was going to said bathroom and delaying the trip 45 minutes for everyone to go at the start, she left some people behind in Dyker Heights. Don't spend your money on this BS excuse of a tour, spend it on an Uber there and back as you'll most likely need to uber back anyway!

Great Lights terrible Tour Guide - The lights were amazing but the paid tour guide was useless, lost, not respecting of the group and then left on the return leaving quite a few people behind. Do youself a favour and just UBER to the lights and dump the useless tourguide.

Add MORE TOUR GUIDES, ESPECIALLY ON CHRISTMAS EVE! - Waste of money and time. Did get a free ride to Dyker Heights, BUT too many people to have just 2 tour guides. Caused a family's children getting lost and having to get off route. Made us have to stand and wait for a while. There needs to be MORE tour guides or smaller groups of people to worry about keeping an eye on.

Unfortunately, it was Total chaos and disorganization but the lights were beautiful! - We are a family of 4 and were hoping for a nice Christmas Eve walk to see the lights, instead it was total chaos and disorganization. We arrived 20 minutes early and checked in, waited by the bus as instructed and never was told to go into the deli to get our hot cocoa and cookie. After the tour, I asked about it because it was never offered to us and was told by our tour guide, Gail that we were supposed to go in before the tour. We are not mind readers and she told us to wait by the bus so we never got that part that we paid for!! Once on the bus to get to our destination, Gail had a couple of kids on the tour speak in the microphone to give us bits of the tour but we could not hear a thing because the kids were so low. Once we arrived at Dyker Heights, we got off the bus and merged with another bus (so well over 80 people). That tour guide (she never gave us her name but seemed more experienced) took over leading us and kept giving instructions to Gail but Gail was clueless. The guides took off very fast, barely held the lights up for everyone to see, so we were zooming past all of the lights and went a few blocks down. After getting there, the other guide said she had to pick up other people so had to get there fast. Wish she would have communicated that before we took off because she left part of the group along the way so we had to stand around for 15-20 minutes for her to backtrack and find the people that got left behind. Then we took off for the tour. It was too many people in the group and didn’t have time to enjoy the lights, felt like we were walking fast the whole time and trying to find the light we were supposed to be following so we didn’t get left behind. Once back to the bus, someone had taken Gail’s spot in the front of the bus and wouldn’t move so we had to wait outside for a while because the lady would not move. We finally got on the bus and while Standing at the beginning of the aisle, other people in the bus were fighting so the bus driver went to help so my daughter had to move out the way and she ended up falling and slipped down the bus stairs. Everyone finally settled down and we made it back! Thank God my daughter was okay but it was not the relaxing, enjoyable experience we were hoping for. I usually give excellent reviews but our experience was not good at all!

The worst company don’t book them very unprofessional - This experience was terrible… they over booked the people in the bus and were kicking us out of the bus when returning after waiting for an hour for the guides to come back since they left us behind in the tour and we got lost. We were lucky to find the bus and then they started yelling at us and made a seen in front of my 2 year old son. Two kids got lost, everything was very unorganized compared to other companies which were still professional. Make yourself a favor and don’t book this tour.

Have a very greedy Christmas!!! - Booked this tour last minute as we weren’t sure we could pack it all in. So we decided to go to the departure point and book on trip advisor when we arrived. Bonnie greeted us and couldn’t find our name on the roster. Thought it was because I had only booked a few minutes prior . I checked my phone a realized I had accidentally chose the next day. Bonnie called the office and explained , they told me it would be $20 per person to change the day (all this took place in 5 minutes of me booking) or, I could cancel and rebook, but it had to be in two minutes or I’d loose 100% of my money!!!! Like an online game of beat the clock!!!! I was Flustered and panicked so I just paid. It was all in the spirit of Christmas giving!!!! Tour includes cookies and coca which there wasn’t enough for everyone (whatever!) Bus ride was an hour to Dyker Heights with some boring commentary . Keep in mind there is no toilet for FOUR hours!!!!! I asked a family on the way back how their son managed to last so long??? Apparently they had to have him pee in between two cars on the street!!!! What’s the point of a “luxury” coach??!!! Overall, I think it’s best to do this with a subway and Uber instead of being herded like sheep . There really is no need for a guide. Oh and to top it off, the guide Bonnie informed us none of the proceeds from the tour are donated to the residents to support the charities they do this for….ZERO!!! Greed is alive and well!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID - If zero stars were an option, I would have rated it so. Where shall I begin? When we arrived at the deli in Times Square, there was no one was there to greet us and we had no idea if we were even in the right place. We ended up asking strangers if they were there for the bus tour as we were all confused. Finally, Bonnie our tour guide appeared and introduced herself. Her only direction was that we were leaving soon and there were no bathrooms on the bus or once we arrived in Brooklyn and it’s a 4 hour trip so “we better go now if we need to.” There was hot chocolate sitting out on a random table with thinly sliced lemon cake which we didn’t touch. As we boarded the bus, a woman holding a baby was the last one to arrive and the bus took off before she was seated and everyone screamed as she and the baby almost fell down. Our group yelled, “Can we wait a second for her to sit down?” to which Bonnie replied “No, we can’t.” Thankfully, the bus driver pulled over for a moment to get her seated. The bus was way too hot and we all repeatedly asked for the temperature to be lowered as we sat in almost an hour and a half of traffic as Bonnie spoke on a static- sounding microphone and pointed out some buildings and told us tragic stories about 9/11 firefighters. When we finally got to Brooklyn, we got off on a street in front of a pastry shop which she repeated the name of 20 times and told us if we got lost to come back there and by giving us that direction she had “done her part.” Bonnie invited people into the pastry shop to buy refreshments, while the remainder of our group stood outside in the cold and rain and impatiently waited for the tour to begin as this delay cut further into our tour time. Finally, the group was led around by Bonnie holding a tiny LED flashlight which made it next to impossible to find her in the crowds. She rudely told a random man on the street to move his child’s stroller as she was “leading a tour” despite the fact that half our group was not even able to find her most of the time. Bonnie also took personal photos on her own phone of the homes in Dyker Heights as if she was the one on the tour, not leading our tour group. She loudly announced that one home was decorated by the homeowner who “recently had cancer.” I’m confident the homeowner would not want his medical status announced to random tour groups. After roaming the streets for an hour or so we got back the bus where Bonnie then stated to all of us “I bet you all think this is a Catholic neighborhood, well you are wrong, these are all Jews for Jesus.” The entire bus was filled with stunned silence at her religiously inappropriate “joke.” During the bus ride back, she held her phone up to the microphone to blast random Christmas music. When we got back to Times Square, she announced that tips were welcomed. My tip is- do not spend your hard-earned money and avoid this tour.
