Terrific full day tour. - The market street, the larger waterfall, and sending the sky lantern up with our prayers. It would have been a little smoother if Charky, our guide, were not also the driver, but he made it work. So nice to have the flexibility of spending a little more or a little less time at each stop. Even with the rain, it was awesome.

Wonderful experience and great guide. - Our guide was excellent! He kept a good pace for us, customized our experience, and helped us avoid crowds while catching some really high points.
The tour kept getting better. The waterfall was small, but nice. It did involve quite a bit of stair walking.
The sky lanterns were a nice experience, and the town was quirky with good street food.
Jiufen was really fun. Interesting shopping district and great views. The tea house was amazing.
The temples in the area were spectacular.

Best excursion ever - Paul has made our Taiwan experience one of a kind ! He made the trip so much fun and exceeded my expectations! He went above and beyond to make this experience to our liking. Excellent tour with god car and driver/guide - Victor Huang, the driver/tour guide was very flexible and provided good guidance what to do at each of 6 stops. He was excellent. I tried to add some photos but the internet on our cruise ship was too slow to do it.

Private tour by car with a very friendly local. - Our guide, Thomas, drove us to the Golden Waterfall, old Jiufen town, old Shifen town, and Shifen Waterfall. And a few scenic spots along the way. He was very friendly and interpreted for us as needed. He gave us a lot of historical context of Taiwan and Jiufen and Shifen.

Good tour! - The excursion was great. We loved all of the places we went and would highly recommend. Our guide was kind and caring to all of us, however, there was very little history or narration along the way. We asked repeatedly that the radio be turned down or off and it wasn’t to be. Sometimes it was shut off for 5-10 minutes but then it was turned on again making it impossible to hear our friends or the guide. The places we went were terrific.

Guide was a no-show - The tour guide no. Showed us. We ended up taking a taxi tour for half the price, at least they had the decency to properly refund my money.
