In 2017, Tyrrell’s acquired the 13.5-hectare Stevens Old Hillside Vineyard on Marrowbone Road, with 6.11 hectares planted to Shiraz, including a 1.1-hectare block from 1867, and the rest planted in 1963, primarily to Shiraz and Semillon. Of the 11 blocks of vines over 100 years old in the Hunter Valley, the Tyrrell family owns 7.
