Capitan Ernie was awesome! - Captain Ernie was amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable AND entertaining. I was not aware of all the conservation work the capitals do. We saw so many animals and beautiful plant life.

Swamp Tour - New Orleans - The Swamp Tour exceeded my expectations. The tour guide, Ian was well versed and informative. Definitely a “go” when visiting New Orleans. If you can get on Ian’s boat, do it…

Go if you want to see alligators - The guide knew all about the area. We saw A LOT of alligators, and the guide gave us a lot of opportunities to take pictures. He did a fantastic show with the alligators.

Boat tour awesome, get your own ride there - Transportation was a mess, def take a cab or an uber to the docks. We were picked up by one bus and had to be-bop around town to try to find the other bus to transfer. The driver seemed overwhelmed and played the music really loud, ac wasn't working and he was blasting us with heat on a 76 degree day. Boat tour was AWESOME! Capt Ernie was genuine and full of knowledge. You can tell he loves the place he grew up in. Would go again

Great afternoon on the swamp - The pickup and drop off were timely. The tour started on time. Weather great. The guide spent a good deal of time explaining local culture, horticulture and of stories about the wildlife. We really enjoyed our little adventure.

Fun and Education - Took an air boat swamp tour and enjoyed the ride and education. I liked that their large boat tour was on a 16, not 30, person boat. Saw lots of gators and got up close. The loading process for the boats in somewhat chaotic, but smooth sailing after that. Great idea for the entire family.

Questionable ethics - Firstly let me start with the positive. I enjoyed the tour and Ernie the captain was very informative and passionate about the wild life. However I was instantly extremely uncomfortable upon arrival to see a young gator in a tiny concrete enclosure with 0 enrichment, except for a rotten fly infested piece of meat alongside a large snapper turtle. This enclosure was not large enough for one animal, let alone two. I was given conflicting info on ‘andrew’ the gator. One worker told me he was a farmed gator and couldn’t be released as he had no natural hunting instincts. Another told me he was injured, missing a leg /foot and could not be released. A simple look confirmed he did not have a missing leg or foot. I asked what would happen to him when he out grew his (again, tiny) enclosure and was told they would just build him a bigger one. Considering the size he will eventually grow to, this doesn’t seem realistic. It all seemed rather suspicious and I fear this poor alligator has been farmed to spend his life in a minuscule enclosure for public enjoyment and then be culled for meat. Regardless of the reason for him being there his current enclosure isn’t acceptable. It made me uncomfortable to have a baby gator passed around on the boat. While I appreciate it will be put back eventually, it seems true concern for the wild life is secondary to profit. Taking a tiny animal out of it’s natural environment to be handled by a large group of people that you don’t know (and therefore cannot predict how trust worthy they could be with such a fragile creature) does not sit right with me. Guides are encouraged to feed gators marshmallows to attract them closer to the boat. I understand they’re cheap and keep customers happy by tempting animals near but it would be much nicer (albeit more expensive)to use something they would eat naturally.I would avoid if you are truly passionate about animal and their health welfare which is a shame as again, the tour itself was very informative
