Fun! - This class was so much fun! My husband and I had the woman Chef (I’m sorry, I can’t remember her name). She was very knowledgeable in the history of NOLA. I finally understand the difference between Cajun and Creole. They are often lumped together, but they are very different. The food we prepared was delicious, she gave us tips throughout. We would do this again the next time we’re in NOLA, as there are different menus. I can’t wait to make gumbo at home!

Such a great way to learn about culture! This was such an informative and fun way to learn about the flavors of NOLA! - The chefs welcome you in like guests in their homes. There is a well-stocked open bar. The Bloody Mary was one of the best I’ve had. The cooking was well-organized and easy to follow. The food was absolutely delicious. You get the apron you use as a wonderful souvenir. I can’t recommend it enough.

Just do it !!!! - I arrived in Nee Orleans a day ahead of my friends in order to take this cooking class and I could not be happier that I did. I enjoy cooking and wanted a first hand experience of the techniques involved in Cajun/creole cooking and I got a master class. From making a roux for the gumbo to the simple yet delicious ingredients and flavorings you are helped along the way but make no mistake about it you are doing the cooking and seasoning. Jambalaya was next and as that was finishing cooking you sit and eat the gumbo you prepared followed shortly after by the shrimp jambalaya. The class is a must do whether you cook or not it was mostly couples but I was paired with a lovely partner. Dessert was an entertaining mix of cooking and a show with the making of bananas foster. A lovely 3 hours course with a fantastic meal and great company. Do yourselves a favor and book this experience
