Embark on a 3-hour bicycle journey through time in the historic city of New Orleans, in a small group setting. Guided by an expert who beautifully depicts the city’s vivid history and robust culture, enjoy a serene ride beneath the shade of trees and delve back into the days when the city was first established by its pioneers. This one-of-a-kind port city has lots to share.
- Dress according to the weather; closed-toed shoes preferable
- Minimum age is 13 years
- All participants must be over 4’11”
- Wearing flip-flops/slippers while riding a bicycle is hazardous. We prohibit them on our tours. Wearing sandals with heel straps are the perfect alternative.
- If you need coffee before the tour, we are located right next door to Twelfth Night Coffee. They serve hot and cold coffee/espresso beverages and croissants/pastries.

New Orleans #1 tour guide! - Eric was extremely knowledgeable of New Orleans and an amazing storyteller. I would recommend this to anyone coming to New Orleans if you wanna hear about the history and get to see the city at the same time!

Overview of New Orleans: an insider view - Great ride, very informative. On a one speed bike with an old fashioned seat. A bit primitive. Learned a lot about the history and geography of the city.

Amazing bike tour - We've been lucky enough to partake in a number of city cycle tours in the US and Europe and this was without doubt the very best tour we have done. Eric is a wonderful guide and his enthusiasm for New Orleans is amazing - he presented a detailed overview of the city and its Creole culture. Highly recommended & thank you for a great experience.

Biking with Eric - This was a fantastic tour with Eric as our guide. His infectious smile and easy going storytelling left us more knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans as we biked around streets at a leisurely pace. We visited places on the tour that we wouldn’t have normally walked around. He also gave great recommendations for local places to visit after the tour. I highly recommend it.

Let the Good Times Roll Like Wheels on your Bicycle! - What a great way to see NOLA! Highly recommend this tour, hopefully Eric is your guide because his knowledge was abundant and his delivery was engaging. His awesome accent added to the authenticity of the tour which can sometimes be lacking in other city tours we’ve taken. Could’ve biked another 3 hours!

Fantastic, informative tour of New Orleans! - My family of 4 absolutely loved our bike tour and our tour guide Eric was the best! He was so knowledgeable about the history and culture of New Orleans and he taught us so much in a fun and interesting way. We got to see parts of New Orleans that we hadn’t seen before and he took great care of us throughout the whole tour. I highly recommend Flambeaux bike tours and ask for Eric as your guide!

Great fun bike ride around NOLA - My husband and I recently went on the Creole Odyssey bike tour with Flambeaux at the recommendation of a friend. Our tour was led by Eric. There were about 10 people on this tour. The tour provided a short history to the origins of New Orleans which was truly fascinating. Eric has lived in the area for a long time and gave historical facts as well as current information including how they still use the same equipment used years before to drain the water from a recent hurricane. The hurricane was about three weeks before we were there and he told us that a bull shark was found inland after they started draining all the water! There was no remaining evidence of the hurricane during our ride. We stopped at historical sites which Eric explained in detail. Since our stay in NOLA was short we found that this tour met our needs in providing us the history of New Orleans. We considered a walking tour but felt it would not cover to the extent that this short bike ride did. The ride is at a relaxing pace so we never felt too challenged to keep up.
Highly recommend this bike tour..it was fun and very entertaining!!

Give Bike tours try. Recommend the garden district. - Our guide Barrett, was well experienced with New Orleans history. But we would have enjoyed less history lesson and more biking. We got an hour behind on the tour and feel we could have covered more stops if his presentations were not so terribly long. One stop was over 20 minutes. There were no benches at most of his stops. No stops for beverages. Bikes were older, and not real comfortable. It is a very interesting area to bike!
