Family Trip - The trip was very enjoyable. The guide on the boat was both entertaining and educational. Other than the heat, the battlefield was pretty amazing. The food was great. My only suggestion would be to have at least one dish without so much spice so those with sensitive pallet’s or stomach could eat something other than the bread pudding. This was a great experience for our first visit to New Orleans.

Nice trip into the Mississipi river - The guide tour gives us lots of historic information during the tour. It stops at the Chalmette National Park (its is optional to leave the boat), but it worth to - beautiful gardens and visitor center.

Cruise down to Chalmette. - Wonderful cruise down the Mississippi River to the Chalmette Battlefield (Battle of New Orleans 1815, War of 1812), on the Creole Queen. Charles was our guide and he did a fantastic job with the history and the info about the area. Awesome cruise and they even had free ice water!!

- This was great. We went on Sat 19th July at 2pm and want to make special mention of the guide, whose name we can’t recall but she was fabulously entertaining and informative. It’s a lovely boat and the chalmette battlefield is a really interesting place to visit, especially if you’re British as you’ll learn! Lots of people opt for dinner cruises but a daytime view of New Orleans from the Mississippi is a great thing to do and it’s cooler on the boat than on the street!

Tour guide made it worthwhile - Pleasant 2pm cruise with excellent guide called Charles. Total time was about 2 hrs with 45 min stop at a battle field along the river. We’d have preferred no stop as was not that much to see on battle field and continue on river.

Do not buy tickets from Viator! - Do not order tickets from Viator! You sold me tickets for a time that there were no tours. We had driven an hour with 2 grandchildren to go on the boat tour and there was no tour for the time they sold us tickets for.
