Creole Queen Cruise - We had a great time traveling on the Mississippi River. Charles was the narrator and did an excellent job. He told you about the history of the area as well as the things along the river. We stopped at the site of a battle between Andrew Jackson and his force of men, made up of pirates, volunteers, and a few actual soldiers, and the British Army in 1814. Charles makes it very interesting and totally keeps your attention as he explains how the battle took place. On the return trip up the river, Charles discussed Hurricane Katrina and the damage New Orleans suffered. I highly recommend this tour.

This is a good... - This is a good experience. The tour narrator was excellent and the crew provided a smooth trip. Any negatives had more to do with some of the group travelers on the tour. I recommend arriving early so you can get a good seat. People horde the seats for their group members and can be really nasty about it.

Something to do to tick the box. - Something to do, good to tick the box of a paddle steamer on the Mississippi and get some historical insights. The traditional creole food was nice but unfortunately served in plastic plates with plastic utensils. The historian shared valuable insights but unfortunately had a throaty voice which sounded like yelling which was pretty annoying. There was really not much to see at the battlefield as the visitor centre was closed.

Replace the narrator with someone who has a voice that can be better tolerated - It would have been a BEAUTIFUL cruise if had not been for the irritating, annoying, and exceptionally grating voice of the person (Dr. Lauren ???) who was narrating the event. My wife and I wished that we had brought ear plugs her voice was so irritating and loud. Other than that, it was marvelous.
