Great Experience - Nick was our guide with a wealth of knowledge of the area, trees, and local wildlife. We had a great experience with him and our two other group members. We were able to go deep into the bayou which is what we were looking for.

Excellent kayak tour! - We had an excellent day on the 4-hr Extended Manchak Swamp tour! We were glad we did the longer tour because we had time to go further in, where the swamp is completely different, narrower, and you’re completely surrounded by trees. Extremely peaceful and beautiful. Nick was an excellent guide—friendly, easy-going, and full of information on birds, trees, and ecology. He’s an excellent spotter! We saw alligators, egrets, barred owls, woodpeckers, turtles. It’s a full day with transportation and well worth it. Bring lunch and water and a snack for after. Thanks for a trip we’ll long remember, Nick!

Nice to get out of New Orleans and be in the swamp..... - What a great tour, and a little exercise. We are locals and to be honest do not do a lot of tours, but this one was special River picked us up on Rampart, and we headed out. We are not big Kayak people, in fact I only did it once. But River set us up (my husband and I) in one Kayak and we floated through the swamp. What a view of the trees, birds, and swamp creatures. We caught an alligator sleeping. On the way out stopped by the local gas station for real Boudin, home-made Jambalaya, and po-boys

Beautiful swamp tour with kayak - Very nice trip to the Bayous with Chelsea, who also knew a lot about the history of the marshes. Although the wildlife has been quite decimated by the intensive hunting she has found some animals for us

Scenic, peaceful and quiet way to tour the swamp and bayou! - Our tour guide Michelle was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the area, including some edible plants, and how mature cypress forests can stop a hurricane. We saw a few alligators, a barred owl, a heron and other birds. The scenery was beautiful, it was very peaceful, clean, and felt remote even though it was not far from New Orleans. I highly recommend this tour if you would like to get out of the city and spend a few hours immersed in nature.

Amazing experience out of time - We spent a marvelous time in the swamp. Nick is a really good guide, passionated by birds, wild life, he share with us is knowledges about the swamps, the animals who lives there. We made a big loop far in the bayou, he was patient and took time to show us the spirit of the swamp. It was a really good experience for us

A great kayaking trip - The swamp kayak tour was excellent. We saw some wildlife like owls and baby alligators. The guide (AJ) was personable and showed us a great time. We were the only ones signed up, and he still took us out on the water. He also made a great restaurant recommendation. No reservations or complaints. We had a great time.

Hot but good time - This was a great time. Nice long and hot tour of the swamp. We were able to see alligators and other wildlife. Was casually guided so not like typical tours where you are forced into a small group. AJ did point out several interesting areas. Recommend that you are experienced and prepared for 4 hours on the water!

Fantastic time - Our guide Nick was knowledgeable about the area and all the plants and critters. Had a fantastic time seeing a part of the world I didn’t know much about. Would recommend it highly. Fun and eye opening.
