An engaging and ambitious introduction to the diverse lives of “Dilli” is experienced in true DBC fashion: through the winding lanes of Delhi. The Nizamuddin tour guides you through a city rich with mystics, saints, poets, rebels, forgotten kings, English ladies, refugee colonies, and unnamed tombs, all juxtaposed against the upscale neighborhoods of South Delhi. Beginning in the over-700-year-old settlement of Nizamuddin, this tour navigates through the 21st-century concrete jungle and vibrant lights of South Delhi, revealing a city alive in unimaginable fragments.
The tour spans 15 km and includes tea and breakfast in the verdant Lodhi Gardens. It is available in the mornings throughout the year and in the afternoons from October to April. DelhiByCycle is delighted to collaborate with the Nizamuddin settlement-based NGO, Hope Project, for this tour. Hope supports the local Nizamuddin community in healthcare and education.
