Old Delhi Food Tour – A Must-Do Experience! - Such a fun and memorable experience! Our guide, Ranveer, was incredibly kind and accommodating. We were nearly 40 minutes late (traffic in Delhi is full on!), yet he still managed to find us so we could join the tour. He never made us feel bad about the delay, and the other guests – a lovely mother and daughter – were equally patient and welcoming. We visited 15 food stops – so much delicious food that we eventually had to slow down! Highlights included the variety of breads with chutneys, refreshing lassi and chai, and a range of mouth-watering desserts. The tour also included a visit to a temple, the spice market, and a jewellery store with bespoke, reasonably priced pieces – and absolutely no pushy sales tactics, which is rare in my travel experience. Winding through the market’s alleyways past food stalls, fabrics, and spices – with tuk tuks, people, and even monkeys passing by – was just brilliant. A few tips: • Bring a large water bottle and sunscreen – it can get hot. • There’s a lot of walking; my 5- and 7-year-old managed fine, but I did carry the youngest toward the end. • Allow at least 90 minutes to get there to avoid traffic delays. • If you’re visibly different from the local crowd (we’re a blonde, Caucasian family), expect some stares and photo requests – just do what feels right for you. This was one of the most memorable experiences from our week in Delhi. Ranveer turned what could have been a stressful day into something relaxed, delicious, and so much fun. Highly recommend!

Delicious tasting in the vibrant Old Delhi - We loved the tour. Our guide Ranveer was very nice, he told us many things about the food and also interesting facts about Chandni Chowk. We were not in a hurry, everything was so relaxed. The tasting was great, We tasted so many delicious dishes. If we liked something very much, we could try more. I would highly recommend this tour. We would never experience something like this by ourselves.

An absolutely must for your trip to Delhi - If you only have a few days in Delhi, I HIGHLY recommend this tour! I couldn’t imagine how we could see Delhi in any other way. We feel spoilt and blessed by how informative, flexible and warm Gajendra (our guide) was. You get a beautiful tour of Old Delhi, with interactive hands on activities. The Sikh temple and community kitchen was a highlight. We really left feeling so taken care of, full with amazing food and knowledge about some of the history and culture. Can’t recommend this enough. Just book it!

Great kick off to India - The communications with the operator were perfect before the tour. Clear and concise. On the day our allocated guide told us he was ill and would be replaced with Ranveer. Ranveer was fabulous. We found him/he found us easily and we started the tour. He took great care throughout the tour to make sure we stayed hydrated and also that we didn’t get left behind. He was also very knowledgeable. We tried some different food, saw a food kitchen, spices and sweets. It was a really good way to start our trip in India and I totally recommend the tour and Ranveer as a guide :)

Disappointing.... but still worth the price of admission - Our guide was not the person being promoted on the site. He was local teenager prepared with nothing more than a list of stops and the most basic of information. I have done two other Chef Tours which were excellent - but this was very weak. The only 'inside' information we received was the age of the establishment and what celebrities had visited the spot. No food lore, no history. The food was still great and was run safely and promptly but not what I was signed up for.

Pretty good! - Our tour guide was really nice, but he wasn't able to answer some more detailed questions we had about the places we visited/eating culture in India. Food was well-spaced out with activities (visiting a gurudwara, visiting jewlery, bridal and spice markets, rickshaw ride), and these breaks often provided a break from the heat, but I was still a bit too stuffed at the end and couldn't fully enjoy the last couple of dishes. All of the selected food is excellent though, especially the lassi, paratha, and paneer places! Wish there had been more chaat on the list.
