- Temple of Demeter - After paying for your admission ticket at the gate, you will walk uphill through a beautiful garden and reach Demeter’s Temple, one of the most significant ancient monuments of Naxos. You will learn about the history of the sanctuary and also have some free time to visit the on spot museum. The Temple of Demeter is closed on Tuesdays and on the 1st of May and instead more free time is provided in Chalki and Apiranthos villages.
- Damalas - At the small village of Damalas, Manolis will warmheartedly welcome you to his traditional pottery workshop and reveal ancient secrets of his art. Afterwards you will visit the restored olive press museum and learn everything about the old procedure of olive oil production.
- Chalkio - Continue to Chalki, an ancient commercial center and a place of beautiful Venetian architecture. You will have approximately 45’ free time to explore by yourselves. Don’t miss the oldest distillery of the island
- Apeiranthos - Next, make a long stop at the famous village of Apiranthos located at the foot of Fanari mountain. Admire the beautiful views of Venetian Towers, marbled alleys, cozy tavernas, verandas, and traditional shops. Here, you will have free time for lunch
- Apollonas Beach - Driving past Koronos village and the famous emery mines, you will reach Apollonas. Get free time at the picturesque fishing village to go for a quick dip and enjoy a coffee or desert by the seaside.
- Apollonas Kouros - End your tour with a visit to the infamous “Kouros”, an unfinished marble Statue of 11 meters, lying in the same spot for more than 2500 years!

Highlights of our tour:
- Admire Demeter’s Temple, a sanctuary dated back in the 6th Century BC.
- Explore the marble paved neighborhoods of Apiranthos
- Photoshoot the gigantic statue of Kouros at the ancient marble quarries
- Visit The picturesque fishing village of Apollonas
- We pick up our guests from central places in Naxos Town, Stelida, Agia Anna, Agios Prokopios and Plaka Beach. In other case our guests can meet us directly at our starting point.
- On Tuesdays the Demeter’s Temple is closed. Instead we will spend more time in our other stops
- This tour will take place rain or shine. Small changes may apply to the itinerary in case of rough weather
- A big part of the trip is through winding, mountainous roads. Please carry travel sickness pills in case you feel uneasy
- The tour guide is not licensed and thus not allowed to guide you inside Demeter’s Temple. You will get all the information about the monument before you enter the gate.
- On the 1st of May the Demeter’s Temple will be closed.

Fantastic tour - Really fantastic experience. Seen loads of this beautiful island. Alex was hilarious and knowledgeable, telling not only historical facts but myths of the gods which everyone found very entertaining. Would definitely recommend and would consider going on this tour again.

Geat way to see Naxos if you have limited time - This tour is a great way to see Naxos if you have limited time to visit the interior villages. I was impressed with our guide Thanos who provided a lot more information than I expected and kudos to our driver Spiros who navigated the windy roads. It was a great day! I only wish we had more time at the two villages but it is a packed agenda.

Wonderful tour of Naxos! - Great tour around the island of Naxos! Our driver Vasilis and guide Thanos both did a fabulous job navigating us around the island and sharing a variety of information on the island’s history and present day. The only suggestion I would make would be for the company to collect money for the temple of Demeter visit so that it is one purchase for everyone on the bus to avoid a long line/ limited visit time for some tour guests.

Great trip - in spite of bad weather! - A n excellent and informative trip (full day), much thanks to our eminent guide Thanos! We got to see a lot of sights, villages and towns, although it was raining all day. Highly recommended, and on a clear day the views must be fantastic!

Fantastic local experience - This was a really lovely trip. Inexpensive for a family of four to experience some local heritage and culture.
Our driver Spiros and tour guide Thanos were fantastic and even though we were driving through mountains it still felt really safe.
Thanos was really friendly, professional and informative.
We ate lovely food in a village and we saw how olive oil was prepared and pottery etc.
Our teenage children also enjoyed this trip - which is hard to do!

Tour of Naxos - I really enjoyed the tour. I know what to do when I return next year. Thanos is a very thoughtful and pleasant tour guide. Spiros is an excellent driver maneuvering through very tight streets and bringing us safely through the island roads. See you next year!

Excellent bus tour of Naxos! - This was an excellent tour! My cousin and I decided to go on the tour 30 minutes before it started, and we’re so glad we did! We spent a perfect amount of time at each location, and had great restaurant options for lunch. Our guide Thanos was knowledgeable and genuine and made the trip much more interesting than if we had driven by ourselves to each village. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a pleasant way to see the beautiful island and villages of Naxos.
