The cakes are marinated in the famous Ole Nassau Rum, distilled in Nassau on New Providence Island, and they especially go great with ice cream. These cakes are available throughout the island as well as in the departure lounge at the Lynden Pindling International Airport and at Festival Place on Prince George Wharf. They are vacuum packed for shipping and will retain their flavor. You can get a tour of the facilities and free tastings when you visit. Homemade jams and jellies are also available. Hours of operation: Monday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. / Sunday 10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.

Exit the port through the most western gate. This will be near the straw market. If you should exit before walk toward the straw market. No other bus as beautiful as the Chippie :-). We will be on the side of the port.

Bahamas Chippies Tour - Our tour guide was awesome. She gave us some history about the Bahamas. The sightseeing tour was great on the trolley, too.

So accomodating! - Chippies was amazing! We were delayed coming back from an earlier excursion and missed the pick up. I let them know that we were running late via the app (we had internet at our previous excursion, but did not have cell service in Nassau), and someone in port called the company for us. They sent a second van to get us and caught us up on the tour (complete with a quick stop at the Rum Cake Factory). We were able to meet the tram at Atlantis and join the main tour. Chippies really went above and beyond and I am so happy we booked with them!
Our tour guide Shakira was really fun and welcoming and we enjoyed learning about the local history of Nassau. The tour group was small (only about 8 of us in total) which made for a really enjoyable and casual experience. I wish we could have spent more time at the last stop so we could have bought some of the local food vendors, but we were getting close to boarding time and had to get back to the ship. Such a great experience!

The Fisher/Grimes family on the CHIPPIES Cultural TOUR-July 5th 2025 - This was one of the best guided and informative cultural tours I have ever been on. We were fortunate enough to have Chippie’s granddaughter as our guide. We, the Fisher/Grimes family had a fantastic time! This is a must do if you visit Nassau, Bahamas. Thanks for a worthwhile experience! You won’t go wrong with the Chippies Cultural tours!

Fontella is an island gem!! - If you do one tour do this one and make sure you ask for Fontella s your guide. She is absolutely amazing and you are guaranteed a good time filled with laughs!!!
You feel like part of her family and she makes site it is fun for everyone! Will definitely do again next time I’m here!!

Enjoyable - The tour guides did a great job being informative. The carts were comfortable & we enjoyed all of the stops. The best part was the flexibility of the guides and the free samples! I took one star for the lack of communication between the company prior to the trip.

- We took a Chippies tour coming off a Royal cruise ship. Never felt at risk of not making it back on time. Our biggest stressor was not knowing where they were picking us up. We waited in the bus terminal area outside of what we thought was the straw market right off the port that was NOT the straw market. Very vague instructions. If not for a nice competitive tour company guide who saw us worriedly waiting who redirected us to walk to a completely different area, we would have missed it. The city of Nassau honestly just isn't very pretty - very run down and 3rd world feeling. Chippies did the best with what they have. Enjoyed the open air vibe of their buses. Tourist trap type stops. Appreciate the free conch fritter taste purchased by our guide. We did get a long tour of the island. 4-5 stops. Drive-bys of most things. Had 3 kids ages 12, 11 and 5. They enjoyed getting out and moving around and I found the most value in just exposing them to a different way of life. But don't have super high expectations.
