Our journey continues with a walk to the Todaiji Temple, dating back to the 8th century, which houses Japan’s largest seated Buddha. Its grandeur is sure to leave you in awe! After exploring the temple, we proceed to the Kasuga-Taisha Shrine, where sacred deer roam freely. As we stroll through Nara Park, we encounter over 1,200 deer along the way.
Our final destination is Naramachi, the historic merchant town, showcasing traditional Edo-period architecture. Here, we have the opportunity to explore old houses.
By the end of the day, you’ll have gained a deeper understanding of Japan’s history, from the Nara Period (8th century) to the Edo Period (17th-19th century).
