Must see Nara! For spectacular temples and plenty of deer - Took a day trip to Nara with our incredible guide Ikki. The day could not have happened without his help navigating the train system as well as how to properly store our bags in a safe locker as well as sharing his deep knowledges of the area. Highlights include Kofuku-ji temple, Todai-ji temple, Kasuga Grand Shrine, and yes, all the Deer that are everywhere in Nara Park! Ikki even brought his camera and was able to help us capture the moments we spent enjoying the beautiful walk around the ornate temple complexes, lush forests and biting and bowing attention seeking deers. The Sake tasting was a nice touch to help bring our walk to a close and taste of the local flavors. We got a bonus seeing the pounding of the mochi on our way back to the station. Perfect for a private tour like we did, but would work great for families and people of all ages and very easy to get to from either Kyoto or Osaka. Would recommend this tour to anyone who has a day and wants to really take in what Nara has to offer!

Making memories. - This was our favorite tour in Kyoto. Our guide, Ikki, was delightful and served as our private photographer as well. He was conscious of our needs and paced the tour so we had plenty of time to rest, linger or shop. The Nara temples and shrines are some of the largest in Asia and are not to be missed. The bowing deer were an experience and crawling through the nostril of the god was something I’ll always remember!! The sake tasting was fun, we bought several bottles, and tasted the warm mochi with bean paste. The tour covered all of our senses. Thank you Ikki for a wonderful tour.
