Great Way To Experience Napa Valley Wine Country - The Wine Trolley tour was great, and we highly recommend it to those visiting Napa Valley for the first time. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable, and provided an informative narrative about the history of the valley and the wine industry. The first stop was the Castello Di Amarosa, which is an authentic replica of a Tuscan style medieval castle. The wine tasting there was focused on Italian style wines. The next stop was the V. Satui winery where a nice lunch was served during our tasting. The last stop was a family owned micro-winery called Backstage. The owner did a wonderful job of explaining the intricacies of each wine and the processes he uses to make them. The wine here was spectacular and we bought three bottles to take home. It was chilly the day we went so most of the 12 people on our tour huddled in the enclosed center of the trolley. We all became friends throughout day, especially after a few glasses of wine. The only negative that we note is that the cost of the wine tastings is not included in the trolley fee, which added another $120 to the cost of the event. But overall, it was well worth the cost and made for a wonderful day.

Nice Napa Experience! - Very nice trip and selection of wineries. Raymond was an eclectic hilight and the castle was cool. Lots of great sightseeing as well

Fun Time visiting the wineries - What we liked: We got to see 3 very different wineries, meet other people on the tour, did not have to drive, driver was very friendly and prompt. What needed improvement: Driver was good - but we were under the impression that we would hear more information about the Valley, stories, history, etc. - there was a little bit, but not a lot. What to know ahead of time. Each winery charges a fee. The first 2 wineries charged $55 per person. The 3rd winery charged $40 (if you bought 2 bottles of wine, the fee was waived). We were not planning to pay the fee at all of the wineries - but once you are there - it feels expected to participate. Although expensive - we decided to embrace the experience, pay the winery fees and just enjoy the experience. Overall, we had a great time!

Nice time - Unfortunately, our experience was impaired by some bad weather, which made the ride on the trolley quite cold. Only the middle section has some protection from the elements. Aside from these uncontrollable events, for experiences like this, unfortunately, there is not a one-size fits all. We would have preferred spending more time at the Castello di Amorosa (castle). We found the other two stops interesting but enjoyed the first one the best. The pizza lunch provided was nice. One thing to keep in mind is entrance fees. The experience does not include them, and some of the fees can be a little steep, so make sure you are aware of these costs before booking. Overall, we had a good time, but next time, we may elect a designated driver and stop at places that interest us the most. Napa has so much to offer!

Our trolley was replaced... - Our trolley was replaced by a bus due to mechanical issues so that was our first disappointment. We thought the driver would provide commentary during the day. He did not. The wine tasting fees were much higher than expected. Lunch was not at a winery as advertised but was pizza, salad and gelato. I’m diabetic and asked for a sugar free option but was told not available. We didn’t get to choose the type of pizza we wanted and it was not very good either. I passed on the tasting at the last venue, a small boutique winery. The castle was beautiful. Paying $50+ for each tasting stop was much more than we expected. It would have been nice to just be able to order a glass vs a flight. The tour at Raymond was nice. You really need to be more upfront about the costs of tastings as well as what lunch will be. It all sounded better in your marketing.

Disappointed in lack of commincation - The tour was good but we were very disappointed that no one notified us that the trolley car was broken down. We would have canceled if we were informed. We are not drinkers and planned this whole trip around this tour because it was a trolly car. It was like booking a train ride and a truck showing up.

Wine Trolley - Just Ok - There was an issue with the trolley, therefore, we had a van.. This was not a concern, however, when the driver greeted us he informed us all that it was his day off. He did not seem like he wanted to be there.. He had a lot of info to share but he did it so fast as he was driving, it felt like watching ping pong balls. He would say "on the left" & immediately then "on the right". This happened throughout. The castle was great. The lunch was ok. He exaggerated the Raymond stop. It was ok. Bouget was very good. Tim Hess was entertaining.

Trolley was not available/Wine tastings are not optional, extra unexpected expense - Unfortunately the trolley was not available. We were told that had a flat tire, although, the bus we took was very nice and clean and actually kept us drive from the weather. When I read the description, I understood that the wine tastings at each location were optional with an extra charge. Come to find that you have to purchase the experience at each location, not knowing the cost. We did have a great time. with the exception of one location that our entire group riding together thought was strange and had low quality wine. Castle was amazing!

Very disappointed - We had booked a trolley and expected a trolley but got a bus that had NO air conditioning. The tour guide did not communicate what to expect (expensive tasting fees $50 per person per winery) and the tour guide did not talk to us at all. We all had to figure out what time to come back to the bus. Many of the tourists were not expecting the extra fees ($300 extra for 2 people). It was a bait and switch in my opinion. The switch from the trolley to the bus was not communicated until within 24 hours of the tour which did not allow for cancellations. VERY DISAPPOINTED
