No stress wine tour - Great way to explore Napa Valley. The tour guide was excellent as were the wineries that they chose for us to visit. Lunch as delicious and plentiful.

Fun way to experience Napa - Sam was a great host. Took us to 3 very different vineyards that gave us a really broad view of Napa Valley. The trolley was a very fun experience and allowed us to meet people we may not have met otherwise. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that was s coming to Napa for the first time.

Memorable and Fun! - We booked this trolley as part our 20th anniversary and we couldn't have been more been more happy with the tour. Overall, it was memorable, fun and worth it! After our initial disappointment at having to board a black shuttle bus and not a SF cable car-like trolley, we really had a great time. It was a bit cold outside anyway (our tour was in December) so it worked out for the better to ride in a warm and enclosed vehicle. Our driver, Jose, was awesome - super friendly, funny and knowledgeable about points of interest on the way up to our first wine tasting stop - Castello di Amorosa. After that, he kept the party going with great music and fun vibes. The bus was lively and festive. The three wineries chosen for the tour were great and also completely different from one another, adding to the interest and excitement of the tour. I rated this tour a 5 because of the tour itself - not the wineries. Keeping in mind, that the winery fees are not included (it says so in the description before you book), I don't believe it is fair to rate the tour on the prices that individual wineries charge. That should be a review for the wineries themselves (yes they can be expensive these days! But what isn't?). I recommend doing your homework. Look up the prices of the wineries on the itinerary before you book so you can budget accordingly; then you won't surprised. This tour really was one of the highlights of our trip to Napa. I think the average couple or group of friends would really enjoy this excursion!

Fantástico! - Great experience! Jose was an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge of the Napa area. Each stop had fantastic wine and vibes. It was a rainy day, so we did not get the trolley, but instead we got a VIP style sprinter van. No one from our group minded, and it kept us warm.

Can be a bit pricey but... - Can be a bit pricey but it was worth the experience. I am giving it 4 stars since we were a bit disappointed that we didn't get to ride the trolley. We did come prepared and bundled up, however, someone decided the temperature was too low and we instead rode a small bus. Nevertheless, the lunch provided was delicious and our driver Richard, a native to the area was very knowledgeable.

Review: Napa Valley Wine Trolley Castle Tour - The Napa Valley Wine Trolley Castle Tour offers a unique and scenic way to explore Napa’s renowned wine country, combining elements of history, wine, and travel nostalgia. Here’s a detailed review: Pros: • Sam, the Host: Sam is an excellent guide who adds charm and insight to the tour. His knowledge and friendly demeanor enhance the experience. • Great Food: The included lunch is delicious and satisfying, adding value to the tour. • Trolley Vibes: The trolley itself gives off a San Francisco cable car feel, making the ride enjoyable and Instagram-worthy. • Picturesque Spots: The stops are well-chosen, featuring iconic and beautiful wineries, including the majestic castle. Cons: • Not for Non-Wine Drinkers: This tour is best suited for wine enthusiasts. If you’re not into wine, the appeal diminishes significantly. • Costly Wine Tasting: The wine tastings are not included in the ticket price and are quite expensive—$120 per couple at each stop, totaling $360 for all three locations. • Alternative Option: If the castle is your main draw, visiting directly for $75 per person might be a better choice. • Not Ideal for Locals: Locals or those with their own car may find the $135 per person fee (which covers only lunch and travel) unnecessary. Overall: The Napa Valley Wine Trolley Castle Tour is a good one-time experience, especially for tourists or first-time visitors to Napa. It’s a convenient way to explore the region without worrying about driving. However, for locals or those who prefer to explore independently, this tour might not be worth the cost. Final Verdict: A fun and memorable experience for out-of-towners but not a must-do for everyone.

Fun, but pricey - I would only recommend if it's not raining. If rain is forecasted, cancel. Trolley will reach hwy speeds and you will get wet if not seated in enclosed area. Also, ask ahead which wineries will be toured and check prices. Two of the three wineries had pricey tasting/tour fees which are not covered.
