The winery visit will last approximately 75 minutes with plenty of time to engage your tasting host and learn about the wine-making styles and farming practices. Wine tasting fees are not included; you will pay tasting fees directly at the wineries during your visit (fees may be waived with minimum purchase).
After your tour concludes in Yountville, you’re welcome to keep your electric bikes to continue exploring on your own. Your Tour Guide will be happy to recommend favorite backroads to explore.
- Monticello Vineyards - Monticello Vineyards is owned and managed by three generations of the Corley family. Patriarch Jay Corley, came to Napa Valley in 1969 seeking land to plant an estate vineyard. He chose a parcel in the southern end of Napa Valley to plant the first vines for Monticello Vineyards. Fifty years later, the Corley family manages five different vineyards across the Napa Valley. Sons Kevin, Chris and Stephen manage the winery. A third generation of Corleys is now graduating college and beginning to take active roles in the family business. Specific winery visits are subject to change due to availability. Wine tasting fees are not included in the price of the bike tour (some wineries may be waived with minimum purchase).

Experience the joy of a Half-Day Bike Tour that lets you cycle in a vineyard while also giving you ample time for the rest of your day activities! Your tour will be with a small group, led by a local Tour Guide who is well-versed in valley’s history and the fascinating journey of the vine to your bottle. The tour will include a stop at a local winery (tasting charges are not included).
Usage of e-bikes ensures that anyone who can cycle, can enjoy this tour. Beginner riders won’t find it challenging to cover longer distances or climb hills. On the other hand, seasoned riders can reduce or switch off the pedal-assist mode to add more intensity to their workout.
When the bike tour ends in Yountville, you’re free to retain your bikes for more independent exploration. Your Tour Guide can suggest you popular off-route paths to explore.
- Minimum age for admission to the winery tasting rooms is 21 years; for this reason, we are unable to accommodate guests under 21 on this tour.
- Participants must comfortable riding in a bike lane next to traffic.
- This is a wine-focused tour. Although tasting fees are not included upfront, there is an expectation that guests signing up for this tour will be participating in tastings. This tour is not a good choice for guests with limited interest in wine tasting.

The Electric Revolution Through Sacred Wine Country - There's something deliciously subversive about gliding through Napa's hallowed vineyards on an e-bike—a seamless fusion of old-world tradition and modern convenience that mirrors what the best of this valley has always been about. The purist in me initially scoffed at the electric assist, but the sybarite quickly surrendered to its charms as we crested hills with suspicious ease, the morning's perfect weather our conspiring companion.
Our guide John wasn't the typical wine country sherpa peddling rehearsed factoids and forced enthusiasm. No, John possessed that rare quality you find in the best sommeliers and chefs—authentic passion coupled with the restraint to know when to speak and when to let the landscape do the talking. His knowledge of Napa's microclimates wasn't the memorized patter of tourism school graduates but came across as the accumulated wisdom of someone who has intimately observed this terrain through changing seasons and shifting wine trends.
As we effortlessly navigated the valley's contours—courtesy of our electric steeds—John unfolded the geological autobiography of Napa. The morning fog fingering its way up from San Pablo Bay, the volcanic soils that stress the vines into greatness, the afternoon heat that concentrates sugars—all explained not as isolated phenomena but as characters in the ongoing drama that makes this small patch of California agricultural holy ground. Here was terroir education without pretension, the kind that enhances appreciation without drowning the experience in jargon.
Safety, often the tedious obligation of guided adventures, was handled with the deft touch of a three-star kitchen expediter—present but invisible, structured but seemingly effortless. The tour team operated with that quiet professionalism that signals years of experience and genuine pride in craft.
The winery itself delivered that increasingly rare commodity in famous wine regions: authenticity. Our tasting wasn't the rushed assembly line of tour buses and bachelorette parties, but an immersive exploration through Napa's liquid history. Each pour came with context that connected these modern bottles to the valley's storied past, creating that transcendent moment when consumable becomes cultural artifact.
As we wheeled through vineyards in the golden afternoon light, slightly buzzed on both fine wine and the simple pleasure of movement through beautiful terrain, I understood something essential about Napa that car-bound visitors miss: this valley rewards those who take the time to feel its rhythms directly. The e-bike—that perfect compromise between effort and ease—turned out to be the ideal vehicle for experiencing a region that has always balanced tradition with innovation, hard work with pleasure, and reverence with reinvention.

Beautiful ride, great guide -- highly recommended! - We didn't know what to expect from this activity, but we were more than pleasantly surprised. Santino was a terrific guide: super-knowledgeable and full of energy. The ride itself was gorgeous. We rode by one vineyard after another in beautiful January sunshine. We learned a lot about wine-making, the region more generally, and the history of the Napa valley. The bikes are great for people of a variety of fitness levels -- one of us is an experienced cyclist and the other much less so -- and the different settings on the bikes in terms of how much assist you get were set up so that each of us could adjust to fit our capabilities. We went in the off-season so our group was Santino, the two of us, and Hiro, the photographer/videographer. I'd imagine the experience is less intimate in, say, September, when they can have up to 15 people in a group, but I assume that Santino's personality and energy would make your experience fantastic no matter the size of the group. We spent three days in Sonoma/Napa, and this was a highlight!

Fun outing in Napa - Great way to spend a morning - exercise and wine. Our guide was very friendly and informative. Beautiful countryside and it was not strenuous at all. Highly recommended.

Amazing and Educational - We had an amazing day. The guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. His history of the entire area was exceptional. First time on electric bikes and they really helped at various points of the ride. Allowed us to take in the sights without doing a Tour de France. The Ghost Block winery education and tasting was really cool as well. 6 generations and the family gives back to new winemakers which is very nice. Lastly I will say there was another couple with us who was having a bad day and left the ride after 15 mins. If you see a bad review from them please ignore it as the guide was very patient with them and they should have simply stayed in bed. Highly recommend this tour and company. Thx

So much fun - I’m still smiling!! - This ride was so much more fun than my friend and I expected!!! It was such a great way to spend the day in Napa - sunshine, beautiful views, exercise, wine and lots of fun. We were smiling the whole time! Alan was an excellent guide, kept us safe and taught us about the vines, trees and agricultural activities we saw along the way. I had never ridden an e-bike before and it made the 3+ hour ride so easy. Now I want to e-bike my way around the world!

The E-bike was so fun and easy - Even though it was a half day tour we were able to keep the bikes, if we wanted, for the remainder of the day.
My husband and I had a great time, just the two of us going our own way and stopping whenever we wanted! Our guide was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour! Just know that some areas of the “bike lane” is really just the shoulder of a highway-some parts of the bike lane are indeed that— a built bike path not shared with vehicles. Scenery and weather is amazing! I highly and fully recommend this company and excursion when visiting!

What a treat! We had a wonderful time and would definitely do it again. - My husband and I had a great time! First time using e-bikes and they were simple to learn and made the ride even more fun. Beautiful ride along vineyard lined roads, smells of ripe grapes and wood, gorgeous weather and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and showed us a good time. We all stopped at Ghost Block mid-way and enjoyed an informative and delicious tasting. Definitely recommend.

Expensive half day in Napa - I don’t like to give bad reviews but this tour was extremely expensive for what you got. Our guide did her best with what she had to work with. The area to bike is mostly flat and not a lot of variety in terrain, history or experiences.
It’s a nice way to see a vineyard however a tasting/tour is an extra fee - should be included - or bike tour should start at a lower price point. We were not really given an option to the tasting (it would have been very awkward to not partake) it just became part of the vineyard tour.
I am purposely not mentioning names of guide and vineyard bc I think it’s the tour companies job to develop a solid experience worth the fees.
Bikes were in great shape. One persons bike had an issue that was promptly replaced by van support.
Thanks for the great after tour suggestion of hot dog and affogato with soft serve at Honor Market 😋
