Murchison Falls National Park - Begin the day with an early cup of tea or coffee, then set off for a game drive in the park. There is an opportunity to witness big cats hunting, along with elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and more, as the list of mammals reaches 76. Continue exploring the drive circuits to the Delta point for a mix of birds and mammals. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, followed by a 3-hour boat ride to the base of the falls, where hippos can be seen (nowhere else will you see more hippos yawning and grooming in their pods than here—believe it!). Nile crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of stunning bird species can also be observed along the banks. For avid bird watchers, this is a prime spot to catch them. Proceed with the hike to visit the top of the falls. This is a magnificent highlight on the second day, as an explosive rush of water at close range surges through a narrow crevice.
