Start the journey through the highlands of kikuyu. After an hour drive your reach the view point where you will stop for 30min to view the great rift valley as you take photos. You will also have a good view of mount Longonot, a volcano mountain with a crater on the top. Start driving down the rift valley for 1 hour towards lake Naivasha where hell’s gate national park sits. The agricultural activity done here is Rose flower growing and you will see plenty of green houses. At this point you will have reached the entrance to hell’s gate. Get your bike ready and start biking in the park. You will be seeing giraffes, zebras antelopes and gazelles grazing on both sides of the road as you ride down to the gorge area.
- Lake Naivasha - Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County, which lies north west of Nairobi. It is part of the Great Rift Valley. Here you will ride the motor boat on lake naivasha while seeing hippos and different bird species, including fish eagle.

Great experience on Hells Gate National Park day trip! - Highly recommend this day tour! Calvin was amazing in navigating around the roads and providing helpful and interesting information throughout the ride. Other members of his team were really great at providing tour tips through the national park and the lake as well. It was a full day tour (close to 11 hours with the drive/traffic) so their efforts were definitely impressive and much appreciated.

Must do in Kenya! No other place where you can say you biked with animals all around and the lion king gorge is great! - Such a unique experience unlike anywhere else. In a game drive, you’re sitting all day in a jeep like we did during our safari in Maasai Mara but here you’re active and seeing the landscapes and animals. Who can say they’ve biked with wildlife all around? You surely can if you do this tour! We saw zebras, baboons, impala, buffalo, warthogs, baboons, birds, giraffe, birds, etc. And the hike in the lion king gorge is simply fantastic. I could hear lion king theme songs up there haha! Finally about the agency itself — the tour provider was responsive, Calvin our driver was funny and considerate with a comfortable car, as is our guide during the bike tour in hells gate, then the restaurant we ate in for lunch was delicious - best food in Kenya we’ve tried in 2 weeks. Must do if you have the time, it’s just a truly unique experience that I can’t recommend enough! My heart is happy

Hell’s Gate turned into HEAVEN - Douglas is an absolute legend.
Very warm and helpful, but also fun. Shared sooo many stories, and info about Kenya and their culture.
Such great fun conversations.
Over and above being such a great person to be around, the tour was smooth and perfectly executed. He took care of our every need, played some Swahili/African music for us in the car, helped arrange lunch to exactly fit our timings.
200% recommend taking a day tour/safari with Douglas and Caraluxe Safaris.

Hells Gate National Park - We had an amazing day with Calvin and our Masai guide Douglas. We had our first sightings of African animals including giraffes and hippos and our guides were very knowledgeable and great company.

Great scenery and wildlife viewings - Tour started punctually. Frank was a friendly and great guide. He was very encouraging during the 16 km bike ride. The park is beautiful. We saw warthogs, giraffe, zebras, and a number of other creatures. The lake had many wildlife. Very happy day.
