Nairobi to Hell’s Gate National Park

Hell’s Gate National Park - Guests will be greeted at their Nairobi city hotel by a safari driver guide who will transport them northwest to Hell’s Gate National Park. A brief stop will be made at a viewpoint to admire the Great Rift Valley from a higher vantage point. Arrival at Hell’s Gate is expected by mid-morning, where a 2-hour biking tour within the park will commence. Alternatively, some may choose to drive, which is also permitted. Wildlife sightings may include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Giraffes, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys, and Porcupines, among others. The park has traditionally been a significant habitat for the rare lammergeyer vultures. At 11 am, visitors can explore the gorges for an hour, capturing stunning views of the gorge’s narrow land formations that allow for walking beneath them. By noon, bikes will be returned at the gate, with a visit to the Maasai community along the way. At 1 pm, lunch will be enjoyed at Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp (at guests’ own expense).

Lake Naivasha - At 2 pm, guests can indulge in a serene boat ride on Lake Naivasha, observing local wildlife such as hippos, buffalo, fish eagles, pelicans, and more for an hour.

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park - Following breakfast, the journey continues to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for a pre-lunch game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park hosts Giraffes, Waterbucks, Black and White Rhinos, Buffalo, Lions, and Leopards, among other wildlife. The lake’s shores are adorned with thousands of Flamingos feeding on the algae. Lunch will be served at Lake Nakuru Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, or a similar venue. An afternoon game drive around Lake Nakuru and the nearby forest will follow.
