- Karen Blixen Museum - Located at the foot of the Ngong Hills, in an area now known as Karen, the Karen Blixen Museum is the former home of Karen Blixen, the famous author whose memoirs were immortalized in the film “Out of Africa.” Preserved as a museum, visitors can step back in time and gain insight into the life of this remarkable and courageous woman. The museum displays furniture, artifacts, and photographs from her days as a pioneering coffee farmer. A guided tour of the original farmhouse is available.
- Bomas of Kenya - This afternoon excursion takes you to Kenya’s most vibrant cultural center, Bomas of Kenya, located in the Nairobi suburb of Langata. A Boma is a traditional homestead, and the site is set up as a museum to represent Kenya’s 40 ethnic groups and showcase their cultures and traditions. Programs featuring traditional dances from various tribes are presented with brilliant performances, culminating in a lively display of acrobatics and tumbling. The shows begin at 14:30 and run until 16:30.
