Highlights
  • Uhuru Park Nairobi - After a brief introductory meeting with your local guide, head off to explore Nairobi! Walking through the streets of Nairobi and travelling by public transport provides plenty of opportunity to mingle with the locals as they go about their daily lives, making this a pretty solid local experience in our books.

Your Nairobi walking tour will kick off with a stroll through Uhuru Park, right in the heart of the city, before wandering past the parliament buildings and the mausoleum of the first president of Kenya, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

  • Kenyatta International Conference Center - This Nairobi tour continues with a look at the Kenyatta Conference Centre.
  • August 7th Memorial Park - August 7th Memorial Park, which was built to commemorate the bombing of the US Embassy. We’ll also give you the opportunity to visit the Kenya National Archives and various other sites within the city centre, based on your interests and our route.
Another key local experience is food, so it’s no surprise that this Nairobi city tour includes the opportunity to sample local cuisine at lunch at a local restaurant. Eat like a local, chat with locals, see Nairobi like a local…soon you’ll pretty much BE a local! (well, not quite, but you know what we’re getting at…)

Wonderful experience! - A superb walkabout with Kevin who was super knowledgeable and interesting. He took us inside the Matatus and to the beautiful and sad August 7th Memorial Park dedicated to the East African bombings of 1998, showed us some incredible art from across the African continent, on to the highest viewing point in Nairobi and, of course, for a lovely Kenyan lunch.

Walking Nairobi CBD, with Faith. - Had the good fortune of being shown around the Nairobi CBD by our guide (Faith) this morning. The bustling streets were vibrant & full of the tempting smells of street food. The National Archives were fascinating & we'd highly recommend. Faith was full of good cheer, lots of laughs & went out of her way to make sure we felt safe. It was a great way to start our Kenyan tour.

A great experience and introduction to Nairobi - I had a great experience walking around Nairobi with Kevin as our leader. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us safe. He introduced us to the matatu culture and we rode the mini transit bus. An excellent experience to walk the street and see the life of Nairobi and see a 360 degree view of nairobi. The Kenya National Archive was very interesting and we got to see artifacts from different parts of Africa.

Fun, crazy, exciting walk thru Nairobi. - Lennox took us on the tour, and it was quite exciting. He was very observant, informative, and fun to talk to. Whether it was wading through the traffic on our way across the street or learning all the deep history of the different tribes in the surrounding area, there was never a dull moment. The markets allowed for an immesersion into the culture and daly lives of most citizens that made me very glad to have a guide with us. My favorite part was experiencing the view of the city on to of the Convention Centre. I only wish lunch was a little earlier because I found it hard to really retain a lot of the information given during the museum portion. Overall, really great experience, and I would recommend it to others.

Nairobi City Tour - A great way to experience the hustle, bustle and chaos of downtown Nairobi. Enjoyed the views from the Kenyatta Convention Centre helipad, the country's history in the National Archives, a tasty lunch, then we extended to visit the Museum and Snake Park. Our lovely guide, Clinton, willingly shared his knowledge of all the main features, and looked after us well.

Walking tour with Entrepid Nairobi Kenya - Mu husband and I booked a personal 5 hour walking tour of Nairobi. Faith was our guide. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. We saw most of the Nairobi city central and Faith let us make some modifications as we went along. We were able to go to the top of the highest building that is the Conference Center and get a great view of the city and a peak at the nearby country side where many safaris start. She also let us take a side venture to a Maasai market where we were able to buy some souvenirs with Faith helping us negotiate. We ended with a very filling delicious lunch. The only changes I would make is to meet somewhere else as the first part of our walk wasn’t too interesting . Also build some time for short rests and drinks as weather was hot and 5 hours is a long time with only lunch for a break. Otherwise we would recommend this tour.
