Embarking on a journey to one of Africa’s most frequented tourist hotspots situated in the vast plains of the Great Rift Valley, this site stands out as an ideal excursion particularly in the colder months when your bulk-purchased Havaianas stay closeted. The Masai Mara is revered as Kenya’s premier wildlife watching locale, offering stellar game-viewing opportunities throughout the year. The seasonal migration of wildebeests is a spectacle to behold, with over 1.5 million of these creatures migrating in July and leaving by November.
An impressive 95 varieties of mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and in excess of 400 species of avian life have been documented within the reserve. It’s a location where the profusion of fauna is unmatched in Africa, ensuring that visitors can almost always catch a glimpse of the ‘big five’ – buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino – no matter when they choose to tour.
