Lake Baringo - Pickup at Hotel, residence or Airport at early in the morning and depart for Bogoria with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for photography and sightseeing. Proceed through the floor of Rift Valley past Naivasha and Nakuru town, head north past the Equator and to Lake Baringo. We arrive at Sandai Resort in Baringo for lunch followed by a relaxing afternoon. You can enjoy the naturally heated swimming pool in the early hrs of the afternoon. At 3.20 PM embark on a boat ride into Lake Baringo. Here you will enjoy seeing the African Fish eagle do the fishing, hippos and crocodiles. Take a guided walk in one of Baringo Island and later at 6.00 PM return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Ideal for those with a penchant for ornithology–and particularly for flamingoes–Lake Bogoria is a bird-watching paradise. The lake’s alkaline waters nourish blue-green algae which, in turn, sustains flamingoes. At peak times, the lake can host up to two million of these vibrant birds. Raptors, such as tawny eagles, also make their home here, preying on the flamingoes. The recorded bird species in the area total to 135, including diverse varieties like little grebe, pratincole, swift, little bee-eater, cape wigeon, yellow-billed stork, African spoonbill, augur buzzard, gabar goshawk, water dikkop, great tit, starling, hornbill, and crombec. Additionally, the reserve is home to a group of the relatively unusual Greater Kudu. Other prevalent mammals include buffalo, zebra, cheetah, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena, impala, and dik dik.
