Giraffe Centre - Begin your tour with an 8:00am pick-up from your Nairobi Hotel. Head to the Giraffe Centre, the main office for the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, made famous by ‘Daisy Rothschild.’ It’s an incredible experience to be face-to-face with a giraffe, giving you a true sense of the size of these gentle giants. The education center offers extensive information about the breeding and conservation of Kenya’s three rarest giraffe species. Learn about their behaviors, traits, and more through conservation education as you get up close on a raised observation platform.

Karen Blixen Museum - Next, you’ll be driven to the former colonial home of Danish author Karen Blixen. Now a museum, this property and the surrounding Ngong Hills gained fame from the book and movie ‘Out of Africa.’ It’s a must-see for Danes and enthusiasts of African history and romance. Afterward, you’ll break for lunch (at your own expense).

Bomas of Kenya - Then, proceed to the Bomas of Kenya, a cultural center located in Langata, near the main gate to Nairobi National Park. Here, talented resident artists perform traditional dances and songs from various tribal groups in the country, including Arab-influenced Swahili Taarab music, Kalenjin warrior dances, Embu drumming, and Kikuyu circumcision ceremonies. While it’s touristy, it remains a spectacular afternoon outing and a must-visit for all tourists. You’ll be dropped back at your hotel around 5-6 PM.
