Masai Mara/ Seregeti Private Safari Tour - We took 12-day African Safari tour with Perfect Wilderness based in Nairobi. It was in August 2025. We are more than happy with the tour. We were 6 people in the tour group and it was private tour. Betty wangare (Perfect Wilderness) worked with us patiently every customizations. We added extra day in Masai Mara, Added night stay on the day of arrival etc. Tour included Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Amboseli. The travel covered Kenya and Tanzania. The driver/guides were very good. Experienced driving, Keen sense wildlife spotting, answering all questions patiently. lending a hand to climb vehicle when needed were common to Nathan, Mustafa, Ottumani and Victor. They came as guides and left as friends. The vehicles were Landcruiser (one) for 6 people. It was safari vehicle with raised roof, cooler, power points for charging. Since we asked for stepping stool it was provided in every vehicle. All hotels very comfortable. Food was very good and plenty of choices. Our vegetarian friends had plenty to eat. Packed picnic lunches made sure we were not hungry. In some hotels we could see wild animals from the window; we could hear wild animals roar in night - while the lodge was safe within electric fence. Betty made sure the tour was seamless even during handover at Kenya <-> Tanzania border. All the game drives were one better than other. We saw all the animals we had hoped to see, some times within few feet distance. We were lucky to see the great migration - sight cannot be forgotten (thanks Nathan!) people of Kenya and Tanzania we came across are nicest people We had trip of a lifetime.

Thank you so much Chris! - Chris Asante is not just a guide—he’s a safari doctor! He took great care of us, made us laugh, and brought the savannah alive with his knowledge.

Fantastic Safari trip - We had a fantastic Safari trip through Kenya and Tanzania (Amboseli, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengetti and Maasai Mara). Everline did a great job organizing our customized route and tours. Our guides in Kenya (Ronald) and Tanzania (Richard) were fantastic. We saw hundreds of animals up close and easily saw the big five several times over. Trip of a lifetime.

Incredible Safari with Perfect Wilderness - Wow! What an exciting and memorable 2-week safari Perfect Wilderness set up for myself and my wife! Thanks to Everline, she arranged a trip that exceeded our expectations. She accommodated us by making changes to lodges and the itinerary with no questions asked over several months. We stayed an amazing lodges, all with beautiful rooms, gorgeous grounds and fantastic meals. Everything went off without a problem. Even when we arrived there was a mix up with our luggage with the airline and we had to wait 3 hours at the airport for the issue to be resolved. We thought our driver from Perfect Wilderness would have left, but waiting for us outside at 1:00 a.m. was Paul, our intrepid and patient driver who drive us to our hotel in Nairobi. We had perfect weather and saw not only the Big Five many times, but dozens of other species including camels! Everyone we met whether tourists like ourselves or employees at the parks, lodges or with Perfect Wilderness were helpful and friendly. Let’s not forget our driver Joel, who drove us through Kenya and was a remarkable and skillful driver. He could handle any terrain while keeping up a running commentary on the types of animals we were seeing, how to find them and even the family history of these animals! Joel was extremely knowledgeable not only of the animals, but also each National Park, the surrounding villages and the culture of Africa. His constant communication with the other drivers allowed us to see multiple lion prides, herds of elephants and even the rare white rhino. For our personal comfort, he upgraded us into a better lodge in Masai Mara, which had a huge swimming pool that only we used! Joel got us safely to the Tanzania border and was there to pick us up 4 days later to continue our safari in Kenya. In Tanzania, our driver was Mustafa. He mirrored Joel’s talents as a driver perfectly. He could manoeuvre any road, any condition in rain or shine. He also kept us informed of all the different animals and where to find them. He once drove quickly across the Serengeti and stopped abruptly a few feet from a pack of cheetahs! Mustafa was friendly, courteous and always aware of our personal safety and comfort. If you choose Perfect Wilderness as your safari company, Joel and Mustafa will take care of you thoroughly and you will have an amazing time! We toured through Lake Nakura, Lake Navisha, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Amboseli National Parks over 2 weeks and had the trip of our lifetime thanks to the professionalism, thoughtfulness and caring of Perfect Wilderness. Thank you Everline, Joel and Mustafa for the wonderful memories!

I'm recommending Perfect Wilderness to everyone! - Betty (and everyone else!) at Perfect Wilderness was so helpful, kind and attentive during our trip planning process and throughout the entire safari itself. A few months before our trip we had a death in the family and had to reschedule for 4 months later. These people were so understanding and flexible and rebooked us for the later dates without any hassle or additional charges. Just being treated like a human being before experiencing a tour with a company speaks volumes about how they take care of their clients. Our dietary requests were noted and upheld, we received an unexpected room upgrade half way through our trip which was AMAZING, and Betty even called during the safari (through our drivers' phones) to check in on us, make sure we didn't need anything and had all of our questions answered about where we were going next. Our guides Nathan and Ben were knowledgeable and skilled whenever the vehicle got stuck in the mud (it was VERY muddy when we traveled through Kenya), and let us take all of the photos of/spend as much time as we wanted with the animals. Sure, it was dusty. Yes, the Maasai and Serengeti roads were super bumpy. The days were long. The lunches were sometimes eaten on the fly. That's all part of the amazing adventure! We took this trip to see these beautiful countries, people and animals, not for VIP cush luxury 24/7. We had a spectacular time! Even before the safari was over I started telling friends and family about my experience with Perfect Wilderness. My boss who had taken a similar trip with a different company was impressed when I told him where we stayed and what we saw, not to mention the affordable price we paid..."a fraction" of what he said he had spent for a similar trip with another company. For so many reasons, Perfect Wilderness was a delight to work with. I would most definitely tour with them again in the future. Thanks so much everyone!!

Very memorable! - It was me, my wife, and 2 kids (10 & 13). Our drivers were Joel (Kenya side) and Hassan (Tanzania side). We did the private tour and the experience was very good. We were picked up from the airport and at the end dropped off at the airport. Everything in between (meals, trandportation) was taken care of. We booked about 6 weeks prior and we were able to get quite nice lodges and tents. The drivers were very knowledgeable and familiar with the parks and they were able to show us all the animals (including the Big 5). The roads can be quite rough so if you have motion sickness, please carry appropriate meds. Remember, you are in the wild, not in a zoo. The animals are not waiting for you, you have to be in the right place at the right time. Joel and Hassan were able to get us there on several occasions. We almost saw 2 cheetahs hunt, several lions (even saw mating of the lions), giraffes, zebras, elephants, impalas, wildebeest, gazelles, leopards, and many colorful birds. I would definitely recommend Perfect Wilderness.

Perfect safari vacation! - We booked the safari all the way from the Philippines. We discovered PERFECT Wilderness on TripAdvisor, Initially we were Hesitant to book our safari online because of online scams. From our first inquiry to settlement everything was done professionally and always prompt. We had super guides George and Sammy that took us around for 12 days. We saw all of the big 5 and more. Sammy and George always made sure that we were comfortable and that all our needs were attended to. I would recommend perfect wilderness to all my friends and family back home. Thank you perfect wilderness, george and Sammy for an unforgettable african safari. I will be back guys..... ❤️ Inaki

Good tour operator but management has to improve their customer obsession - We customized their standard 12d tour mid-range hotels by adding one more night at Masai Mara and Serengeti each (total 14days), upgraded few hotels/lodges, added balloon safari, private 4x4 land cruiser for the entire trip. We are vegetarians and we were assured that they know how to handle that. Needless to say, we spent quite a bit on this vacation. Positives: Our travel consultant (Everline) was very knowledgeable and guided us from planning, upgrades, immunization, visa etc. and was very responsive. We typically got our WhatsApp questions answered in less than 24 hrs. Arrangements were made as per the itinerary, driver showed up on time, tour guides in Kenya/Masai Mara (Chris - the safari doctor) and Tanzania/Serengeti (Hassan) were very good. Very happy with both of them. We saw 4 out of 5 very close by and rhino from a distance out of big-5. Sooo many time we saw lions and lioness that at the end we didn't even bother to stop. All because of Chris and Hassan. They were great spotters. Food: Food quality was meh (but we kind'a expected that). Transport: Vehicle (4x4) from Nairobi to Serengeti was ok but not modern (no a/c and no sockets for phone charging) especially when you spend 10hr everyday in dusty, sunny open roof vehicle you are sweaty and also run out of batteries in your electronics. After our tour guide (Chris) informed the travel consultant (Everline), our vehicle (4x4) from Serengeti to Arusha portion was better. It had a/c, charging ports and mini fridge, which came from their Tanzania based business affiliate Mama Savana (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g297913-d21209272-Reviews-Mama_Savana_Safaris-Arusha_Arusha_Region.html). Going back from Arusha to Kenya/Amboseli portion of the vacation was the worst (last two days). Both vehicle and the guide left a bad impression. Negative: Roadside lunch place where we had to eat lunch (some days) were pretty bad. Everything went downhill after Arusha. The new guide and vehicle (going back to Kenya) was crappy. 4x4 vehicle broke down in Amboseli National Park (in the middle where we see herds of zebras and elephants in 50-70ft distance) and it took 4 hrs to fix it. One hour later it got stuck again in the water/ditch and another 4x4 had to come and rescue us. The box lunch that the guide picked up was non-vegetarian. So, all of us hungry, through out the day with a vehicle that breaks down frequently triggering irritation and anxiety. Our entire day was ruined. We requested a replacement vehicle but we were told that it was not possible. Our primary concern was our next day travel to Nairobi to fly back home and if the vehicle breaks down again we could miss our flight. Our new tour guide (not very smart) tells us that in case vehicle breaks, he would help us hitch a ride with a car going towards Nairobi !! Geez that's not a comforting sign after spending a fortune for this vacation. Bottom line: I would have given 5-star rating but held back due to our experience in last two days. You only find out how good and customer focused this business is by seeing how they solve the problem when they arises. In my opinion they lack that. This tour operator is a good mid-range/budget friendly business but don't expect great service (even if you pay for it).

They did not reserve the hotel that they told us about on the tour - They told us about hotels, but upon arrival it was not the hotel they told us about, they kept us waiting, we had not eaten, there were no taxis or drivers and they did not bother to confirm that the hotel was appropriate. I do not recommend it and if you are going to be with them, make sure they reserve the hotels for them because being far away it is not so easy to get a hotel from one moment to the next
