The Great Rift Valley View Point - At 8 AM, you’ll be picked up from your hotel or residence within Nairobi CBD and start your journey to Maasai Mara, stopping at the Great Rift Valley View Point for a stunning view of the valley floor. Lunch will be a picnic along the way. In the afternoon, after checking in, you’ll head out for a game drive.
Masai Mara National Reserve - You’ll arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch. In the afternoon, after checking in, you’ll go on an evening game drive in the Mara Reserve.
Masai Mara Reserve is Kenya’s most popular tourist destination, located in the Great Rift Valley, primarily consisting of open grassland. It’s considered the crown jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. Visitors are almost guaranteed to see the Big Five. The extraordinary wildebeest migration, a spectacular event unique to Maasai Mara, is considered a wonder of the world.
Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
Masai Mara National Reserve - Spend the entire day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. You’ll have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you take in the beauty of the Mara. Resident hippos and Nile crocodiles can be seen along the banks of the Mara River year-round. Few places have a higher concentration of wildlife than the Masai Mara, and sightings of four of the Big Five are almost guaranteed (though rhinos are harder to spot). The Mara is also one of the best reserves in the world for seeing the three big cats: leopard, lion, and cheetah. It’s no surprise that the BBC TV show Big Cat Diaries is filmed here.
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After lunch, continue game viewing in the Mara. According to World Travel Magazine, it’s the best safari destination in the world. Masai Mara Reserve is Kenya’s most popular tourist destination, located in the Great Rift Valley, primarily consisting of open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It’s considered the crown jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Visitors are almost guaranteed to see the Big Five. The extraordinary wildebeest migration, a spectacular event unique to Maasai Mara, is considered a wonder of the world.
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Ololaimutiek - After an early morning breakfast, check out of the camp. Optional: Visit a local Maasai village for a cultural tour at USD 20 per person. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people. At 9 AM, drive to Nakuru with several stops along the way.
Narok - Pass through Narok at 12 PM. You’ll stop for lunch at a traveler’s motel provided by us. Continue the drive to Nakuru.
Lake Nakuru - Pass through Narok at 12 PM. You’ll stop for lunch at a traveler’s motel provided by us. Continue the drive to Nakuru.
Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
Lake Nakuru - After an early breakfast, depart at 7 AM and head straight to the park. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos, which are part of the Big Five. There’s also a chance to see pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours. From the gate, you’ll drive along the lake’s shores, where you might see rhinos coming for a drink. Many baboons can be seen hanging on the trees near the road. The game drive ends at 10 AM. Drive and check out of the park, then have lunch as you head to Amboseli.
Amboseli - From 1 PM to around 6 PM, enjoy the Kenyan road trip with beautiful scenery and landscapes on the way to Amboseli. Arrive and check in at the camp, have dinner, and rest.
Full Day Game Drive in Amboseli
Observation Hill - Early morning game drive to catch a glimpse of Mt. Kilimanjaro and view the park from the viewpoint. Have breakfast and then go for a full day game drive in search of the park’s residents, such as well-known predators and their prey like zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and hippos, all with a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Amboseli National Park - After lunch, continue the game drive. Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya, known for its large elephant herds and views of the immense Mount Kilimanjaro across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramic views of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by the vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season.
Amboseli to Nairobi
Amboseli - After breakfast, depart the lodge with an en-route game drive as you join the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. We will provide a complimentary snack lunch on the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon with a drop-off at the airport or your meeting point. This marks the end of your safari.
