Amazing - I booked a 6-day tour that included visits to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and concluded with Amboseli. As promised, I was picked up from my hotel on the first morning and taken to the office to complete the payment. The journey began with our driver, Francis, who was friendly and spoke excellent English. In the various parks, Francis drove like a professional rally driver. The moment he heard on the radio about nearby wildlife, he skillfully navigated us to prime viewing spots. We were able to get remarkably close to giraffes, zebras, lions, lionesses, a leopard with her cub, and many more. In Masai Mara, we saw more animals than in any other park. At Lake Nakuru, we spotted three rhinos, and in Amboseli, we experienced a majestic early morning scene: hundreds of elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro as a breathtaking backdrop. The camps where we stayed were comfortable, and while the food was decent (nothing extraordinary), the overall experience was truly remarkable.

6-day group safari: July 2024 - We went on safari with Lenchada for 6 days as a group. An unforgettable experience! Our driver and guide Stanley was very professional. He always did his best to allow us to get the best photographs of animals. We also thank him for his many explanations of animal life and reserves.

Amazing Lenchada tour with Wilson Mutua and the big five. - We had an amazing week! Our tour was planned well by Lenchada (thanks Alex). The itinerary and overnight locations they proposed were spot on for our expectations. The price they offered was very competitive. Email conversation during the planing process and during the tour was easy and super responsive. Our guide Wilson Mutua did a wonderful job. Whether it was setting the right priorities, spotting the animals (i.e. big five after 2 days) or dealing with any other of our requests - Wilson had the answer. He gave us a great time and did the best he could to go far beyond what we had hoped for. His timing and his driving skills were always great. Wilson told us a lot about the african landscape and wildlife. Even for changing a domestic flight Wilson stepped up and called the airline for us. He just did the best job. Bottom Line: We would book Lenchada and Wilson Mutua any day of the week again.

Nice budget safari experience - The first thing I would say is if you’re open minded and have a go with the flow flexible persona, then I think you will have a nice time on this safari! And thanks to our guide WILSON for making this an easy solo travel experience that I will remember and always getting us the best view of the animals. We saw so many amazing animals (4/5 of the big five!) and Wilson always helped us to get a good shot of the animals. I was truly blown away with seeing the elephants up close and also so many cute baby animals. Wilson was a very skilled driver (which you will come to super appreciate once you fully take in Kenyan roads). We did not get stuck once (writing this on the 5th night so I’ll cross my fingers for the last day haha) while Wilson was receiving calls/radio that other drivers were stuck frequently. I was particularly impressed with his driving in the dark skills and his driving on the Maasai Mara roads which are incredibly bumpy and rough it’s hard to explain you’ll have to see. Wilson was a hard worker and always went above to make the experience memorable and a bit more relaxing for example we stopped a lot for snack/drink or toilet which helped break up the really long drives. (As an aside if you’re wondering if you need to bring toilet paper in your purse I would say no although I always did just in case no matter where I travel, but definitley hand sanitizer as not all bathrooms had water or soap). Also the car was comfortable and I liked that you could stand up because the roof came up). Everyone I interacted with was so friendly and welcoming so you will feel at ease even if you’re there alone you’ll have plenty of time to socialize with others All in all I feel good recommending this safari to those who are looking for their next interesting animal adventure!

Great budget Safari! - I would have loved giving five out of five stars to the Lenchada Safari because the first 4 days, John our guide was fantastic. Very considerate. Very conscious of our safety and our comfort. Kept on the radio so that we were able to spot some obscure animals. The reason that I did not give a five-star was because I was handed off to a second group after the fourth day with a guide named Stephen who was not as communicative or conscientious to our comfort or our needs. However, with John we saw the big five and I lived a lifelong dream! Be prepared. this was a budget Safari and you get what you pay for. Most all of my better photos are on my camera and I'm doing this from my phone but even using a phone a lot of the pictures were great. But if you have a long lens, bring it. That being said, the food was pretty good and I felt pretty safe in the camps. For me that is all I needed but others may want a bit more. I loved it!!!

Unique animal diversity - We opened in Sep. 24 undertook a 6-day tour at Lenchada Safaris. Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. All parks have their own character, the animal diversity is fascinating and unique. Unfortunately, the operator only informed us about price increases 2 weeks before the start of the safari and only after request. The communication went smoothly. Lenchada and Jokey Tours are probably the same operator. Maasai Mara : large herds, many wildcats and the impressive Mara River with hippos and crocodiles. Accommodation : Lenchada camps. The tent was clean and spacious. The plant has already come of age. There were no chairs on the terrace and the dining area was an imposition. No “bonfire feeling” arose here. Lake Nakuro : many waterfowl, rhinos, monkeys and buffalo. Accommodation : Standard hotel in Buruha Zenoni Hotel not far from the park entrance. Amboseli : impressive scenery with Kilimanjaro in the background. Big herds of elephants. That's great. Accommodation : very, highly recommended the Manjuro Camp. Super friendly, good tents and good food. Travel times / driver : The distances between the parks are very large. The main traffic routes are jammed. Travel times of 6-8 hours are the rule. Our driver drove extremely carefully, but was quite terse. Conclusion : The parks are really uniquely beautiful. Lenchada Safaris is only recommended to a limited extent. There is a look wherever savings can still be made. For example, a low-quality lodge was approached without agreement (but we were able to successfully refuse). You should have everything confirmed in writing beforehand.
