Additional Information

World famous for hosting the epic Great Migration, the Masai Mara welcomes 1,5 million wildebeests onto its sprawling savannahs each July through October. The Masai Mara National Reserve and conservancies are brimming with life and offer safari travellers a wide variety of activities to choose from. The Maasai Mara is the only protected area in Kenya with an indigenous black rhino population, unaffected by translocations, and due to its size, is able to support one of the largest populations in Africa. Hippopotamuses and Nile crocodiles are found in large groups in the Mara and Talek rivers.

Incredible Experience of Masai Culture - What a rich, unique and respectful experience of Masai culture! Big thanks to Alex our exceptional tour guide. Alex’s deep knowledge and his easy relationship with the members of the Masai village made our day feel like being invited by villagers to share their life. I was amazed by how much we learned about rituals and daily routines by listening to stories, watching demos and (my best part) trying things out with the members of the Masai Village. I may not have Masai dance moves but now I know that if push comes to shove, I have mad spear throwing skills. We learned so much about local history, culture and animals and plants from Alex. And we especially appreciated the way Alex made sure we were taken care of eg best clean bathroom, snacks. I hghly recommend this trip and Alex
