An Unforgettable Adventure - It was excellent. We did so many things in the course of the day. It felt like an adventure. Mary and Nicole are amazing. They were very attentive and affable. Mary coordinated and directed the tour really well. Nicole did an excellent job. I enjoyed her lively energy and open communication. I will miss them very much. Please send them my well wishes and hugs to them. I very much appreciated their facilitation of this tour and making our experience fun and memorable.

Fantastic day tour and unique by all terms - I had a fantastic daytrip with Nicol and Mary, and one fellow-traveler, Pedro, from Dominican Rep., and a girl from Peru (who joined us for the volcano part). It was a long way to Leon, but it spent great, as we had a good chat all way long! First we stopped at a scenic mirador to check out Lake Managua and the 2 volcanos next by. Great views! Then had a city tour, visited the big cathedral. It was apparently the great celebration inside, of Mary. So we heard bells all around while visited the top for the views, and heard lots of fireworks too, all around.
Not long after we went to a kind of modern arts museum, then for a little shopping to have more energy for the hike.
After that we met the Team of volcano boarding, led by Junior. He was full of smile, but still very responsible and caring. Traveled with them and our fantastic 4x4 driver to the 'door' of Cerro Negro, where we got ourselves registered* and had chance to visit toilets too.
*I received (maybe by mistake, maybe by fun) a 'National' paper bracelet for the entry, not foreigner. We made a lot of fun because of this too, so it was not a mistake that Nicol always talked to me also in Spanish!
The way up was not that easy, but still doable! We made stops and photo opp. frequently and there was no rush. We had a bit of quiz too with Junior about volcanos, and I think I won that! Hahaha.
Up there we had strong wind, so sometimes we went like hand into hand! We made it to the top, then after some instructions and waiting we all sled down. I tried to be superfast, and I think I was! It really felt like skiing in that position too. Then we went to a local restaurant, so had a real local vibe for the end too, as a crown for this excellent day!
Also to mention, the day after I had a cool visit in the morning to the Masaya volcano too, with this same organization!

BEST OF MY TRIP - One of my best experiences without a doubt. I highly recommend NicaParadise, especially Antony's attention. He gave us a lot of information and above all was very helpful and professional. A thousand times I'd go back to them.

10/10 - 👋 , the tour was Amazing, sand boarding was the Hightlight of the trip !!! Guide was Great . Spoke very good English , helped us navigate *and order food . Was a great guide had good knowledge and made us feel comfortable, the guide had a Great attitude . Over all had a great time ‼️

Amazing day tour! The top highlight from my Nicaragua trip! - Sandboarding down the volcano is what really got me interested in this day tour from Managua and it did not disappoint. My day tour started when my driver, Anthony, picked me up from my hotel in Managua at 9:30 am. We drove about an hour and a half out towards the city of Leon with one scenic stop along the way. We spent about 2 hours exploring in Leon before Anthony introduced me to one of the other guides, Gustavo, who was going to take me to the Cerro Negro Volcano for the hike and Sandboarding. I joined up with two other tourists who booked the Sandboarding tour as well so in total there were 4 of us on the volcano part of the tour which was fine, all of us together made for an awesome crew. The hike up to the descent point took us about 1 hour and the actual Sandboarding down the volcano was a blast! Definitely the top highlight from my entire trip! After the tour I met up with Anthony again in Leon around 7:30 pm and he got me back to Managua by 9 pm. A big thank you to my guides on this entire tour - Anthony, Gustavo, and also our driver who took us from Leon to the Cerro Negro Volcano, they all did a great job making sure I enjoyed this tour to the fullest. I would definitely do this tour again, especially the Sandboarding part which will hopefully be soon. When you’re in Managua definitely consider booking this day tour, you won’t regret it. Cerro Negro Valcano - I had an amazing time on the private tour! We got to explore at our own pace, and the guides were not only super knowledgeable but also fun and easy to chat with. They shared so many interesting insights along the way. If you go, be sure to ask for Anthony—he’s the best!

Fun in Leon - We had an amazing experience! The stunning views of the volcano were breathtaking, and the thrill of sliding down the sandy slopes was one of the most exhilarating activities in Nicaragua.
Our tour guide was simply fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the area. He provided insightful information about the volcano and its history.
The only small critique we have is regarding lunch. We were a bit surprised to find out that we needed to cover the cost of the tour guide's meal during our stop. I'm not sure if it's a part of the culture.. While we were happy to accommodate it felt expected. We completely understand the importance of supporting our guides. It would have been helpful to have this detail made clear in advance.
Overall, I highly recommend the Cerro Negro Volcano sandboarding experience! Thank you for an awesome day!
